why didn't he just tell her where he was frozen at, so she could unfreeze him.
i understand he had ties to the future as well but couldn't hurt.

There's actually a few reasons.
1: In this episode, Fry is the only one capable of saving the universe.

2: Nibbler made him fall into the cryogenic stasis chamber thingy on purpose for reason 1.

3: Fry felt like he didn't fit into the 20th/21st century.

4: He's an idiot.

If I remember correctly, he was unhappy in the past, he loved his parents and some other people, but generally he disliked his life the 2000's. Also the universe would've been destroyed several times if he didn't went to the future.

i'm glad too, but I dunno, I was kinda disappointed with the choice to retcon
