why are people saying "dark souls3? its just a ds1 remake" and **** like that when we have seen next to nothing of the game and everything we have seen has been new

awesomedug (08/06/2015) [-] a select few people got to see live gameplay of dark souls 3 already and it was said to be just like dark souls 1 with things like instant parrys and a more open world gameplay, dark souls 2 was more linear and not alot of people like that, not to say it was a bad game. personally i really really hope is is just a dark souls 1 remake because dark souls 2 was missing something and dark souls 1 was way to buggy and unoptimised for pc

its not a DS1 remake.....hell everything we have seen is ******* new.
as for DS2, i will agree that DS2 is not as good as 1 but not for any gameplay reasons, DS2 is better mechanically, easier to understand what your doing and where your going, there are more options in spells, weapons, armours what have you. where DS2 fell short was the world, DS1 everything is one world, DS2 its lots of little worlds stuck toeach other making it feel less conected.
DS2 is the better game, DS1 is the better "game".
but no i dont want it to be a DS1 remake, i would like it if it uses some DS1 mechanics such as the instant parry thing and kicking instead of gaurd breaks but other then that i want it to be a new game.
which all the evidence says it is
(also if something just uses the mechanics of a game its not a ******* remake)

awesomedug (08/06/2015) [-] oh no doubt i don't disagree, i guess saying "ds3 is a ds1 remake" is a little harsh, i think what im really trying to say is i hope it drives more towards play style of dark souls 1, at least a little bit in the way of mechanics

mechanicaly i want it more similar to DS1 then 2
but weapon/armour/spell variety and world size i want from DS2
cos lets face it, whatever your fond memories of DS1, DS2 shat all over it in terms of the different weapons, spells, fashion souls and playstyles you could take
