It's a device for weaving threads or yarn into sheets of cloth. It holds the vertically oriented strands taut while the horizontal are run back and forth through them.

Not even joking us engineers have a kit called ROBOpro that teaches you basic level programming with software and hardware. I remember that i finished my marble sorter and I just goofed off with my team and made some concoction that circled our table and had fans everywhere so we never got hot. Fantastic class it was

We have two weeks left filled with nothing, so we're allowed to just make whatever within our teams. Mine decided to make a spirograph of sorts.

They are lego technic pieces, powered by the lego mindstorm robotics. Using a laptop and a simple program, one can program an array of sensors and motors to act, independent of each other.
legos have a ton of gear and structural parts in certain packages. regular old legos are blocks and all that. things like bionicles needed gears and structural parts to move and to connect.
