Did you know that the string's vibration actually doesn't look like this? The string moves up and down in a whole and not like in the video when pulled, but a camera can only ask one pixel at a time about its colors and has to cycle through the whole causing a delay between every pixel. In this case the camera presumably cycles through pixels vertically and cycles through rows horizontally. the strings position changes between the intervals of every row quite alot, giving the it the look of an oscilloscope.
i got mine for years now, a simple electric one , does the job.
never really played it.
I do have rocksmith the game, the first one tough , not the better / newer version.
Is that a good way to get the hang of it?
because somehow i find it easier to learn / play the songs , learn the accords and such then to look at the ''music note'' sheet.
any tips welcome. vids / songs like this make me wanna play again.
Started playing guitar last week, found some old walmart acoustic guitar in my garage, sanded down the saddle and it took me 15 minutes to learn this song. Looking for something more challenging though, I can even play RHCP snow at full speed flawlessly for the most part ( **** but my fingers are bleeding).
Bull ******* horse **** you learned this song in 1 week. If you just started that means you have 0 idea what chords are or how to play them properly. It took me a month to acually play a damn song. GTFO you cheeky cunt
frist of aol: change the ******* strings they get hard because of rust and that'll make your fingers bleed. a lot. second of all if she was just lying in the garage with her strings on, and the rust is gonna cause those strings to shrink and harden, making the belly of the guitar lift up, making the strings alot higher from the fretboard, and will make your playing a WHOLE lot difficult belive me you'll be feeling so much better . unfortuantly there is nothing you can do about it, so i'll suggest to buy a very cheap classical guitar, and practice the **** out of it, it'll get your fingers nice and made for tougher strings: acoustic strings/electric guitar strings/bass guitar strings. remember to noodle around on the guitar and remember that patience is key, and you won't be ******* john petrucci over night. don't rush to get a pricey guitar and take your sweet fukin time.
i've had a classical guitar for 5 years i played untill i got my first electric guitar, now i own one acoustic guitar, one classical guitar, 2 electric guitar and soon a bass guitar.
isaapostasied is right, never get a guitar from the internet, you can't just buy a guitar and expect it'll feel nice and comfy on you, i'd suggest going down to the nearest music instruments store and try a few of their less pricey guitars, i suggest you try some of the gibson based epiphone models, some fender squier ones and some esp:LTD ones. they're cheap and pretty easy to handle, and have somewhat of a nice tone.
My suggestion is to not ever buy a guitar on the internet. You need to go to an instrument store and really sit down with some guitars and find one that feels and sounds good. **** buying an instrument from the internet, support local music stores.
I'm actualy selling my Epiphone: SG G310 but yet again, never buy a guitar from the internet, unless you actualy wanna come to israel and check it for yourself pls dont
I actualy get what you're saying, maybe not snow full speed but took me about a week to catch all the chords and tabs, not talking about playing them realy great or switching them fast but yeah if you noodle around enough you should be able to in a week. and learning a new instrument if you're already good at another instrument is fairly easy, drums, bass guitar and piano are instruments i caught on by a few days after i've played guitar for 6 years.
its basically a personal trainer for guitar for a fraction of what a real instructor would cost.
and i dont know if money is a problem but i got a ltd f-10 for 120 bucks (i got a pretty big discount) and its bad ******* ass since you seem to be going to play metallica
Rocksmith is cool but the problem I experienced with it was that yes it teaces you stuff, it doesn't TEACH you. Like I never learned the relation between minor and major scales, or a bunch of other stuff. It's fun, but if you want to learn and understand, use jutsinguitar.com and learn some other **** from that Marty Schwartz character. cheers blukachu and nutslap <3
My brain works in a wierd way, l also used to play the trumpet and I was pretty good. If you have me the notes to a song I could play them because I know what to do and when to do it but, I never knew the name of a single note, I just knew what my fingers had to do when I saw it. It's the same for the guitar, rocksmith taught me what I need to do and how to de it everything else is just useless information for me, like remembering what I had for breakfast
yeah i was wondering about this...if he had the video in slow motion or something...i play guitar as well, and my strings are never so awesome looking.
The rolling shutter makes it so that not the whole frame of a video is taken at once. But each line of each picture is recorded with a slight delay. So while one frame of the video is taken, the guitar-string moves along (compare the framerate of 25 Hz to the A-note of 440 Hz). So when you pause the video, you get the position of the string at different times. This works here, because the camera is sideways. If it were tilted 90° it would look different.
The string itself moves as a whole (with some unseeable disturbance) with only two knots at the end. But you could have it swing with another knot by placing your finger on in the middle of the string (not pushing down) and then play it. You get a tone one octave higher.
Too bad you are a faggot and your taste in music is completely disregarded by the whole community because you proxy thumb and that is how you got banned for a month.
