Yeah, Disney confirmed it in their release of the game. Kylo Ren calls her cousin Everyone was in an uproar about it and they're taking/taken it out as it's not to actually be revealed until the next Episode, apparently.
No. Plus I don't think it can be. I think we just want to believe he had a child but I think if he did he wouldn't just leave her on a planet like jakku
There was way too much foreshadowing for her not to be.
"this light saber was luke skywalkers and his father before him and now it calls to you"?
plus I would say luke wouldnt run away from helping the jedi be restored but he did because he blamed himself for kylo ren's fall to the dark side.
Why would he raise his daughter if he thought he would cause her downfall?
Well if they are, one might presume that while Luke was training Kylo, he was simultaneously raising Rey. If Kylo turned over to the Dark Side it would probably have ben in early teens at the earliest, and thus Rey, who is approximately the same age, should be able to remember Luke as her father.
Unless Luke decided to leave Rey on Jakko as a child and then resume the training of Kylo for another 5-10 years? But then it doesn't makes sense that he would leave Rey for fear of her turning over to the Dark Side like Kylo, as that would not have happened yet.
It does make sense. But there could be reasons for Kylo to not know about Rey idk. Maybe she was kept a secret or Luke set out on Journeys with Keylo as his padawan whilst Rey was still too young and stayed with her mother (whoever the **** that is)? Idk. It's not likely but the possibilities exist.
why dump her on a ******** planet with no family then, why not leave her with the resistance and have them not tell her who her father was, makes no sense to take her to jakku in a ****** town and with no family.
He would have to put her somewhere completely away from that world, how long before someone would begin to suspect it and it would put her in danger?
Even living that close to Han/Leia and co, would put her at risk as you wouldn't be able to not be family forever.
It's the whole, push her away to keep her safe from me and my enemies thing
Start on a desert planet
Empire looking for droid on said planet
Get off said planet on the falcon
Get captured
Escape
Get to the rebel base with the droid
Blew the big weapon of death with the rebels
slight spoiler here, but in Disney Infinity, if the player plays as Rey against Kylo Ren, he will say "Face me, Cousin!", pretty much stating that they are related. Unless Han Solo had brothers and sisters, then I am pretty sure it is Lukes Daughter.
Plus the trailer kinda gave it away when explaining that his family all have the force youtu.be/GpdHED5jYUs?t=42
I thought it was obvious. I mean, how else would she be force sensitive? I don't think they'd just shoe-horn in "btw there was totes another Sith/Jedi who ****** a girl on Jakku and then left and nobody mentioned them again".
Although, I wouldn't be against it tbh because I don't really like the few force sensitives left alive.
That is it, I think it was too obvious to actually be true.
Personaly I would actually rather see her being the daughter of someone else, since we already have a Skywalker... It just seems to easy just to make her Luke's daughter and to me, sort of lazy. "Look, another force sensitive that is born within the skywalker family!" Makes it seem that to be force sensitive you have to be a child of a bloody skywalker, just seems off putting.
But yea, we will see. All does seem to make her seem like Luke's daughter. But maybe as I previously thought, that they want us to think that she is Luke's Daughter so they can throw a plot twist in our faces. Like they did with Finn in the marketing, having him carry around the lightsaber for us to think he will be the Jedi. I kinda hope it is the same with Rey. But it does seem like she is going to be the daughter.
Kylo said he sees the island and ocean she sees at night. Then they find Luke on an island surrounded by an ocean. Idk if they link together or not though?
Everybody here assumes that force is inherited, but wasnt the point of prequels that Jedi cant have relationships? I dont think that Luke has children. They never introduced a parent/child team in the whole series. Or did I miss something?
