As someone who has played Undertale, I can't help but agree. The game is good in areas but it's not a masterpiece or a feels piece of epic proportions. It's a nice, decent game.
And yet, even though I said nothing negative, I still get attacked. Sort of like how people rallied against reviewers who gave Skyrim less than a 9/10.
I hope this doesn't get red thumbs because this is unbelievably true.
When fans get together and let their hype overtake their senses, nobody is allowed to have any ******* negative opinion on anything related to what they're fans about.
made of meme? no it's made out of jokes. theres only one thing that might possably be misconstrude as a meme and thats when sans say "if u keep going down this path, your gonna have a bad time". there might be more down the pacifist path since i havent played it yet. but with me knowledge of 66.6667% of the game. this isnt a meme game.
All those ****** monsters hiding out in some ranty-shanty **** shacks. **** 'em.
I never beat Undertale because I got too salty at the fact that it "remembers my save" and keeps telling me it does, but if I had it, I'd do geno and put it away.
Maybe I've gotten too much sand in my cooch about it, but Undertale gave me a handjob with sandpaper with the whole "We know you saved" thing, I need to get around to getting over it.
To be honest, I don't know why I even made the comment, I apologize for wasting your time.
Referring to the game rather than the setting, have only played two failed and one almost complate genocide run didn't know about the kill counters gonna do pacifist when I FINALLY beat sans
>people like oxygen
>FJers breathe oxygen
>oxygen is now autistic cuck cancer
>everyone is a sperg that dies of anal cancer within the week while jerking it to their gf being ******
Jesus Christ, you guys are getting out of hand with your buzzwords.
Does it have any sort of flaw? CANCER!
Is it in the slightest bit not alpha? CRINGE!
Did someone not like what happened? TRIGGERED!
Don't forget about calling everything autistic and everyone that doesn't agree that all gays and ******* should be gased a feminazi. Or they just spam "You PC bro?" As if southpark and funnyjunk is a subsitute for actually being socially aware of what's going on around you.
Yeah, just like people got over skyrim and MGS:V and how people will get over fallout 4. It's almost like people don't dedicate their lives to 1 topic all the time.
Honestly, I feel like this is nowhere near as bad as KS was. Sure, people exaggerate how good it was, because of feels and **** and get pretty annoying, but Katawa fans were ******* OBSESSIVE. Those ******* would stab you if they could, because you badmouthed their crispy waifu.
It's more of a ride than a game. The gameplay is pretty meh, but the writing and goofy **** is what carries it. Imagine a saturday morning cartoon, but in game form. It's basically that.
well i really love the battle system in this game. i havent loved fighting bosses this much since dark souls at least genocide bosses are amazing, i havent tryed hardmode yet
Undertale. Yet another amazing game completely ******* trashed by it's **** fanbase. It's already going the way of the MGS and Fallout series. And it's only been out for barely a year.
Undertale is a great game, and it deserves all of the praise it gets. It should be played by anyone with a taste for story driven gameplay.
But in the end, like everything that gets enough attention, people will bastardize it, scaring away any newcomers.
If you truly love Undertale, don't post about it everywhere out of context and don't make themed accounts. You'll just be doing the opposite of what you wanted. Please, do it according to Toby's wishes: Let the discussion die out peacefully so that anyone that might play it doesn't turn the other way in disapproval due to the community.
Undertale is a wonderful game, it doesn't deserve to be debased.
I just don't see in the era of the best games ever crated, the most stunning graphics and smooth game play, amazing new controllers despite your preference, the steam controller, the xbone controller, the ps4 controller hell even gaming mice and keyboards, where computing power is so high that games look like movies and are larger and more expansive than ever, that people are ******** themselves over a ******* platformer.
I look at the screens on steam for the game and the prospect of paying any amount of money for it is just absurd, you can play the same kind of game on the internet for free, even on your phone.
Listen man, video games are amazing things. They're an entertainment medium that you, the player, can interact with and have an experience much different to that of other mediums. You are right there, in the game, making decisions yourself and making progress with your own hands.
Every video game out there is unique, with a specific trope and genre. Action games, shooters, MOBAs, strategy games, adventure games, RPGs and many more. There's something for everyone.
And you know, not everyone likes the same things.
Undertale is not a platformer, it's an Action/RPG game. I'm sure you've read a book or watched a really great movie that you remember to this very day, and you still think it's amazing. Well, Undertale is exactly that, a beautiful story laced with gameplay.
What I'm trying to say is, if you play games for fun and don't care much for story, Undertale might change your mind. The fact that you're experiencing the story through your own actions is what makes it so special, and Undertale excels in immersing you from the very start.
That's why everyone is losing their minds over a "platformer", because it's a story-based video game masterpiece that is worth more than $10. I can't do it enough justice in words because you just have to play it to understand what I'm talking about.
The only reason i called it a platformer is because the term RPG is so broad its ridiculous, I mean Skyrim, Fallout, ARK, Dark Souls, Borderlands, The Sims, Wasteland, Overlord, DayZ, Spore and even XCOM are ALL RPGs. And I mean I love RPGs, right now Im replaying The Stick of Truth and The Witcher 2. But Undertale just looks like a game from the 90s, I put a lot of money into my computer and staring at a mess of pixels just isn't my thing. (Unless its Broforce) To each their own I suppose.

graphics don't make the game. And Undertale can make you feel more about it than most of the triple A title that have come out in recent years. It flat out has a better story than Until Dawn, which is a game that advertised itself based on its story. And you can't find anything remotely like that experience for free.
Woah, you just summarized what I feel about Undertale in FJ.
I loved the game, and I love that people are loving it, but with popularity comes hatred, and FJ is worse than Satan when it comes to circlejerking around hating things.
"I don't give a **** , but I'll thumbwhore for it because boo-hoo the community must cater to me specifically. Stop liking things and sharing derivative works." ~OP
That's certainly not what I meant. I'm just a little annoyed that there's such a huge volume of content from a source I don't know and don't care about.
i hated fallout for such a long time because of the stupid amount of content it produces on this site.
but then i played it and i still hate the content great game tho
i give undertale a 9/10
it's not perfect but i deffenetly enjoyed it more then almost every game in my steam library.
alot of games feel like a waste of money but undertale never made me even kinda regret it
100% worth my time and i dont say that often
All this whining and bitching about people being excited for the latest thing...just makes me want to do everything I can to ensure that it never dies.
Seriously, we get it. You boring ***** don't like it when people like something that you don't. But at this point seeing "durrr i hope it dies soon" "durr cancerous meme game" "durr autistic fanbase" every ******* time it's brought up, even in a relevant situation, is more ******* annoying than the spam of the content itself.
We get it. You're sick of seeing it. We're sick of hearing about how you're sick of it. Instead of bitching endlessly and making it funny to keep spamming it, and giving the red thumb whores more ammo, ignore it, let it die on it's own. Because the more you whine about it, the longer it will last.
Issue is that it can become so bad that the fans start to hate the fanbase. I really got into JoJo in the middle of Stardust Crusaders, near the peak of its popularity, and I ******* despised people memeposting it everywhere where it wasn't relevant. Especially the Dio dicksuckers. Dio is a cool villain, but people were bastardizing him.
the issue then becomes the fact that the people who start spamming how much they hate the content become worse than the people who spammed the content ever were, and in so doing just make the people who spammed the content spam it more.
and if the obnoxious haters had just ignored it, it would have died out sooner, but they can't ignore it, they have to go out of their way to bring it up every ******* chance they get so they can hate it some more, and then it gets spammed again.
My entire point is if you hate Undertale so much, ignore it and let the excitement run it's course, because as has been proven time and time again, not ignoring it makes it grow.
All OP said was that he wasn't sure what Undertale was when he's seeing it posted.
And you fanboys just start crying your eyes out like he said Undertale is the ****** game ever made.
Like a bunch of oversensative SJWs claiming to be oppressed.
Grow the **** up, it's just a god damn game.
If you can't take slight criticism I think that says a lot about the content you're trying to defend.
