Oh my god, even below fart jokes? Well that hit me right in the heart. But you were right Carlos in this case would be a misuse of the meme. Seems like that christian school gave you something.
You do have a point...
But don't you talk **** on fart jokes
There was 3 gay men in a bar having drinks
The first one farted and air came out. The second one saw that as a challenge and he farted too. The third one farted as well and his rum bum made the noise of the thunder gods and the other two laughed and said "HA VIRGIN" Ok I got your point
Not to be that guy, but you have no idea if that dogs been abused, it could have been a stray, or a dog with a **** attitude. It does happen, not all dogs are friendly. It's reacting like any caged animal would in the same situation. Once it learns the thing backing it into the corner isn't trying to eat it, it sweetens up a few degree's
in the video with audio, it literally made sounds like a screeching dying child, barely sounded like a dog.
a dog wouldn't make sounds like that if it was simply afraid because it was never touched
I'll correct the other guy. He was a very good leader until he eventually went crazy, because of the power (and drugs his doctor kept pumping him full of) and decided to take over the world. His early campaigns were successful, because he let his generals do their thing. The later ones, especially the stuff in Russia, were a ******** because he'd lost his mind and wanted absolute control over everything. He wanted to personally give orders, which is stupid as hell, given how far away he was from any front line.
I've never actually ******* cried from anything on this website. This got me. This got me good. The pure fear. The complete fear inside that dog is killing me.
My dog was abused for the first year of his life, he's 13 now and he still flinches when someone tries to pet him.
being human is having empathy, among other things
whoever was cruel to the dog may have been homo sapien, but i can assure you that only some kind of monster would be mean to another creature to the point that the creature was so afraid.
Lots of triggers to be pulled. But not by his fingers. He only told them to.
"Externalizing responsibility is when someone fails to accept responsibility for the messes they make or for the problems they cause. It is also failing to accept responsibility for the situations they find themselves in."
If he had killed every jew and or war casualty himself, you'd have a valid point. You still kinda do regardless but you get what i mean.
That person probably never knew love either and probably got beat up by his/her father/mother too. That doesn't make this allright but often people can't help themselves I think. A serious mental disease could also be a reason. Once again, I'm NOT saying beating a dog is ok just because of your background, just wanted to put it in perspective. It's not always a concious choice.
smartass*
because I know he was
But I was taking umbridge with being lumped in together with those kinds of people, even in the abstract
Because I can and because I cannot be stopped
But also because it isn't true
Animals are perfectly capable of this kind of behaviour, we just don't attribute malice to them because how could they know what it even is to be malicious and cruel
Dude that's beyond ****** up. I never even knew a dog could make those noises. That dog has problem never known anything other than fear and pain. He's probably experiencing kindness for the first time.
If anything you can take solace in knowing that, by the looks, she (and probably others) are going to keep trying
and maybe one day that pupper is/was/will be happy and relaxed
Some cruel **** finally got locked up in my area, had a whole bunch of dogs and puppies who are acting just like this. His house was a ********* (literally, like, **** was everywhere) and I have the unfortunate connection of having my sister be one of the rescue/cleanup teams. She cried multiple times over the phone, asking why some people are cruel to such small and innocent creatures.
Real ******* sick. I hope they find their forever homes.
Poor little beast. Says a lot most reasonable men would have no qualms torturing the monster who would beat an animal, but would never raise a hand to the animal itself.
My pup was a rescue, though I don't think she was a abused. If so, not enough to scar her. In any case, she is by far the most loving, loyal dog I've found. I think rescuing an animal creates a special trust.
I have two rescues and unfortunately both suffered horrible abuse before they were under my care. One we found in the side of the highway with a broken leg and missing all his teeth on one side. The other walked onto our property starving and covered in ticks. He reacted the same way this pup did. Now they are two of the friendliest, sweetest dogs I've ever had the pleasure of sharing my love with.
My mum founded a animal welfare organisation in Denmark, so I have seen this sort of thing first hand.
Just before christmas we got a half alaskan huskey half labrador in, 12 weeks old, frightened as **** of anything getting close to it.. Give it 20 minutes of affection and it was a completely transformed dog.
Pic related, here she is with the infinitely patient and therapeutic dog of mine, Chato
My German Shepherd was a rescue dog. It took two years to get him socialized and aware that not everyone is evil and mean. It changed his life. And it changed mine.
Tail between legs, pupils wide, bristling back fur. Attempts to get away, this isn't a behavior that stems from one-time, long-term abuse. This is a dog that's been beaten everyday since it was a puppy.
Dogs are subservient to mankind and have a symbiotic relationship with them. This dog breed was meant to take care of men, and their children and as such has a specific need to be trained to obey commands.
Without proper training this puppy is basing its actions on instinct and as such tries to bare its fangs at the person's hand. It does not clamp down as it doesn't want pain, and then shuffles backwards. It knew the pain of humans beforehand.
Dogs aren't "instinctual subservient to mankind", though, that's how they were before we domesticated them. They simply had a social structure ingrained in them we could viably fit into. You can get a cat and a puppy and have that puppy grow up to be subservient to that cat. How do you "beat a dog all its life" without it developing behavioral patterns closer to learned helplessness, instead ingraining confused aggression the dog in the content is showing? Any owner who would do that wouldn't let anything close to what that dog was doing go unpunished.
Learned helplessness is based on the concept that the individual, in this case, the dog, accepted its fate and learned that it could do nothing to better its situation. Confused aggression is probably what made it like this, the first outburst of aggression and it was hit. Another caused it to learn.
Learned helplessness is also a predictably observable behavioral pattern which doesn't look like this. It's possible, but so is the concept that aliens came to earth, fiddled with our genetics, and removed all trace of their existence from the earth.
The dogs which underwent to test didn't snipe at the negative stimulus, they simply sat there and looked sad and scared.
Christmas night I had a stray kitten show up on my doorstep. Thing was just skin and bones and the end of it's tail was broken. It takes a special kind of monster to do **** like that to an animal.
**alpako used "*roll picture*"** **alpako rolled image**
if this dog is like this because of someone torturing it, i will find them, and slap them across the face
Dogs which have been hurt by a previous owner typically don't behave that way. That dog is behaving in a way closer to how the content noted, where he was picked up off the street and is now getting adopted for the first time ever. Dogs which have been abused typically exhibit learned helplessness, where they just sit there and take it in a depressed state, or exhibit pasive paranoia, such as growling and barking at any and everyone.
This dog doesn't know what the hell to do in that situation, thus he's exhibiting that sort of instinctual fear over what to do.
Short answer: chances are likely no one hurt this dog, he just happens to be straight outa Compton.
I read the content as the previous owner had never pet the dog an had only beaten it. I did not see it as had never had a chance to experience petting before.
I also assumed that since the dog made as if to bite, but did not bite, someone had violently taught the dog that worse things happen if it bit. As if the dog was, as you say, exhibiting learned helplessness and took it without biting.
It could very well be that the dog was in the early stages of developing learned helplessness. It's just that the confused behavior seems indicitive of a new experience, like humans on general.
If you watch the original content, it clearly states that it is about "Mujer acaricia un perro por primera vez luego de ser maltratado durante años," which translates into "Woman petting a dog for the first time after being abused for years."
Given the short time span between videos, the dog could have either been abused or never been pet. However, the videos could have just been put up within the same year, not showing rehabilitation or whatever they did. We also don't know the age of the dog, as the size we see is how big it is going to get. It could be a few years old, and that is its full size.
So either way, it's inconclusive. It could be a stray who had never been pet (meaning the title of the video is wrong), or it could have been abused as the owners/rescuers say it was.
