it's the blackback gulls that are are assholes, they don't let anybody get near them, and they'll pull the fish right out of another bird's beak. once i watched a blackback hold a herring gull underwater to get the piece of stuff the herring gull was eating

chikibriki (11/06/2015) [-] on the ranking of biggest assholes to smallest, it goes blackback gulls, herring gulls, juvenile herring/blackback gulls, and the last (that i've seen) is shearwaters
shearwaters are pretty ******* cool though, they fly in and basically glide themselves into the water, the gulls just kinda plop themselves down like they just took over some foreign country
