Cmon, its not much, its not going to kill 3 people. Were not talking about downing a 1L in 5min, but a night out.
1 liter of vodka is a fine amount for one person to get drunk, but not to the life threatening levels, assuming ~6-7 hour drinking with a meal. When I still had friends and used to go out, 0.7L per person was typical for a whole night party with sleeping.
0.5L of vodka mixed in 1L coke bottle used to be typical "concealed" drink when going to beach in summer, finished in 2h.

ONLINE (01/07/2016) [-] Well, it all depends on the alcohol content. my worst drinking binge I drank a 1.5 liter of 21% alcohol vodka in a night. I puked my guts out but didn't die.
