Yeah, I was really annoyed by the gameplay with it babying you and holding your hand for most of the game. Luckily, I enjoyed the story well enough that I could complete the story 3 times.
No that was not a typo, I did beat this game 3 times in a row.
I feel like I should beat the game now, just so I fully understand everything. I finished XIII-2 and Lightning Returns, and was still confused about the fal'cie
Fal'Cie are like deities. They were created by Pulse and Lindzei to carry out tasks. When a human encounters a Fal'Cie they are branded a L'Cie and are given a focus. If a L'Cie fails their focus they turn into a Cie'th.
That's because the fal'cie were ******* kicked to the sideline.
"Oh, one of our guys actually died, what should we do now?"
"How about we just become obscure pieces of **** and do nothing."
"Sounds like a plan." **** those sequels. I can give some leeway to 13-2 because it had a pretty cool villain but Lightnings return was ******** and both were a cashgrab.
The story for XIII-2 was a bit weird, especially having Lightning vanish and whatnot, however the story of it did grab my attention throughout it, and then the ending of it really got me I felt a bit depressed afterwards
Lightning Returns seemed to be more about a message, and for them to find a way to properly finish everything. The way it ended with Lumina felt like they forgot about her for a while as she seemed to have been set up as a villain. The rest of the ending was nice though, leading to a world that sort of resembles both here, and the world in 15
