playing the devils advocate here.

to be fair this person used a bad example, but the point kinda stands.

it is kinda weird when you have a movie with a woman in a survival situation or she's somehow removed from society for a long period of time but still has smooth silky legs.

The walking dead is a pretty strong example of this. In reality...if zombies were running everywhere like that...everybody would reek all the time and been gross and unshaved. Women only even began started shaving their legs on a mass scale around the 1930s or so.

I've never seen Lost, but I'm going to say the women in Lost.

Any action movie where the woman is the hero.
Somehow they never get dirty and beat up, while a male version usually looks beat the **** up and dirty after the adventure.

Of course, I think no one should really care because both versions are that way to look really good to viewers and nothing more.

eh its about 50/50 in lost. sometimes they look like a proper survival mess, and others like they walked out of a spa. granted there is that weird society on the island and its supposedly limbo or whatever
