Never had my cat do her business outside of her box. Also, do you make these comics because they're pretty good.
User avatar #3 to #2 - mathmatical [OP](11/05/2015) [-]

Nice! Made new upload section pretty enjoyable. Do you work with animals or something?
#5 to #4 - mathmatical [OP](11/05/2015) [-]
Yes I do. But I own three ferrets so they might as well be my full time job.

User avatar #35 to #34 - mathmatical [OP](11/06/2015) [-]
oh my gosh what happened??
User avatar #37 to #35 - lemonlord (11/06/2015) [-]
Someone broke the fence to the back yard and stole him from his cage.
Turns out he's 1 of 4 albinos that have been stolen in our area.

aayyy thats a nice ferret I'm thinking about getting a couple to hunt with my hawks, the females smell less right? Also do you keep yours inside or out or what?
User avatar #21 to #20 - mathmatical [OP](11/06/2015) [-]
Yes, females are less smelly. Ferrets are skilled hunters (if you are doing some rabbiting, otherwise pretty useless). Might consider a hybrid, they are more sturdy with wild type genes. I keep mine inside but if you keep them outside provide a dark box with plenty of insulation and keep in mind they are skilled escape artists. They always find a way!
User avatar #22 to #21 - featherypupper (11/06/2015) [-]
Yeah for rabbiting wow cheers thats really cool, didnt know you could get hybrids I'll have to look at those! Haha I'll keep that in mind, I reckon I'll probably end up keeping them inside they look like a lot of fun
User avatar #23 to #22 - mathmatical [OP](11/06/2015) [-]
they really are. here is a cool video on rabbiting www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtcIPFK1jH4 ferreting is illegal here in the us but sounds pretty great!
User avatar #24 to #23 - featherypupper (11/06/2015) [-]
Haha cheers, my friend used to work for the falconer in that video! Ah its illegal? Wonder what their logic is I dont see how its any different to other hutnign? Yeah I dont really have all that much experience with it but it looks so fun plus you can catch loads

unlike in the uk, ferrets aren't native to the area. they are worried if they are introduced to the ecosystem that they will destroy native wild life and that they will become invasive. But hey thats pretty sweet about your friend! what a coincidence.
User avatar #26 to #25 - featherypupper (11/06/2015) [-]
Ah fair enough that makes sense, a lot of retards here let ferrets go all the time, I've found a couple hit by cars which is pretty sad and pointless, I can see it becoming a problem in the US. Haha yeah he's doing the fox shooting in that video I think.
User avatar #6 to #5 - tevansroskos (11/05/2015) [-]
I've heard they make great pets. Do your's have their musk glands removed? or whatever it's called.
User avatar #9 to #6 - mathmatical [OP](11/05/2015) [-]
Scent glands. Honestly I love the smell of ferrets. I can't smell mine anymore because i've been living with them for so long. All pet store ferrets come descented and fixed but i dont recommend purchasing one.
User avatar #14 - stutterguy (11/05/2015) [-]
My ferret used to try her hardest to push her litter tray out of the corner so she could **** on the floor.
User avatar #11 - tittylovin (11/05/2015) [-]
Ever notice how women only ever make comics about their pets, crushes, video games, or even their own comics?
Get some new material, I don't give a **** about your little stink rat.
#29 to #11 - anon (11/06/2015) [-]

And we make ours about nipples, God, and video games.
User avatar #30 to #29 - tittylovin (11/06/2015) [-]
Don't talk **** about nipples

Ferret littler boxes should always be put in their favorite pooping corner. That's why they're shaped like that.
-Source: I worked at a pet shop through high school and a bit of college.

**mathmatical used "*roll picture*"**
**mathmatical rolled image** oh trust me, they are, but they MOVE the litter box and poop outside it!
#36 - nerdymonika (11/06/2015) [-]
My ferret never feels guilt about it. He usually waits for me to be present, but distracted before he poops somewhere outside his tray. It's like he waits for an ideal opportunity for me just to miss catching him and putting him back in the tray.

Can't help but love the little bastard tho
User avatar #27 - mrspinkman (11/06/2015) [-]
There are a lot of struggles of having ferrets.
1) the litterbox/pooping in the corner thing
2) the hoarding. Mine are particularly fond of bottlecaps and lighters or anything shiny, every time I move a piece of furniture I find a large pile of their 'treasures'.
3) I ferret-proofed my house (or so I thought) but they will try to fit themselves through the tiniest spaces, one of mine got himself stuck in a knot hole in the wood of my wall, and the other ripped a vent off my wall and got into my AC unit. They're both fine, and I have since completely ferret proofed my house.
3) They sleep in the WEIRDEST positions, and I occasionally have to go over and poke them to make sure they're sill alive, because no living thing should be able to contort themselves into the positions they can.

But they are so worth it. Imagine an elongated cat that acts like a kitten their whole life, is deviously brilliant, and loves to cuddle after playing. That's what ferrets are like. I absolutely adore mine.

Mine like socks and erasers

I had ferrets once upon a time, I feel your pain
#15 to #12 - mathmatical [OP](11/05/2015) [-]
I will always have ferrets, its just one of the many struggles ya gotta deal with haha! pic related
#16 to #15 - zomura (11/05/2015) [-]
Do you only have one ferret?
#17 to #16 - mathmatical [OP](11/05/2015) [-]
I have 3. (One on bottom passed away not too long ago, since got another but I didn't have a picture of all three together.)
#18 to #17 - zomura (11/05/2015) [-]
I'm sorry to hear that. I only ask because ferrets without other ferrets to play with make me sad
#19 to #18 - mathmatical [OP](11/05/2015) [-]
I agree. My first ferret (one on bottom) was the only ferret for a long time. If you dedicate your time to them, a single ferret will be fine. However, if you are gone a lot (school and work) then it is best to have multiple. Funny fact is that in their natural history they are VERY non social animals. They live by themselves. But through domestication they hang on to their juvenile need for other ferrets.

Got a cat that constantly poops in the box but wipes her butt on everything else
#38 - zionsype ONLINE (11/06/2015) [-]
Ferrets like to poop in corners
They basically refuse to poop anywhere else
User avatar #39 to #38 - mathmatical [OP](11/06/2015) [-]
Animals are vulnerable when pooping/peeing. Some animals just walk and go. Small animals found it safe to back into a corner where the only thing that could sneak up on them was from above or in front.
#40 to #39 - zionsype ONLINE (11/06/2015) [-]
And humans prefer to poop in bowl-shaped objects for the same reason
right?
