actually they were made FOR noble men in the 17th centory, so they could easily stay in their stirrups while riding a horse.

women just started wearing them because they think their asses look better in them

okay, well...
the origins of the modern high heels are definitely not in ancient Egypt.
nonetheless, I had not known about Egyptian high heels so thank you for teaching me
