the word rape did not originate from sodomy.
it existed before hand.
raped is an experience. it is an emotional response to someone taking away power and ravaging land/woman.
this is talking more about original rape, instead of legal rape (the crime)

Please don't try to defend this, in order for someone to feel like they have been striped of power someone has to be on the other end taking that power, if not then literally every single person on the planet is raped everyday because anytime someone does something near you like talking it is taking away your power from listening to what you want to listen to they are forcibly making you hear them. If you take that definition it can be applied to literally everything. But it still needs someone taking the power away, all rape has perpetrators.

"Rape" is used alongside words like "pillage" (as in the phrase "rape, pillage, and plunder") because it's primary definition is along the lines of wanton/excessive destruction or spoiling. Hence the application of it to forced sexual intercourse, a form of wanton spoiling (malicious taking). A lot of pop dictionaries will define it first as forced sexual intercourse, but that only defines a common application of the word, instead of the meaning of the word itself.

This is why you'll hear the word used so often in PvP games in reference to behavior that's overpowering/excessive with something of a mean streak in it.

I think the word is used in video games in a cruel sexual way, I doubt it came straight from the less-common official meaning.

This just makes my blood boil.
It's already so hard for victims of actual rape to come forward; this makes it damn near impossible. I was raped as a child. It's damn hard to think about and even harder to admit. It's not a ******* badgethat I shove in people's faces the second the word 'my soggy knee' shows up. It was real, it was terrifying, and I don't want people to know it happened to me. Hence my anonhood.

But ******* seriously? To be raped, something needs to be taken with force. Even a drunk or roofied person is being taken with force. It doesn't have to be a penis, but jeezus jumping **** , you can not be visually raped! You cannoy feel a slight tingle and be like "good golly miss molly, I do believe I have been raped." And then have a glass of ******* tea. There HAS to be a rapist involved.

Mine is still out there. Mine terrorizes me on Facebook 22 ******* years later. I live in constant fear, though no one would truly know. I even hide it from my husband well. Who wants to say they were raped at five years old? I don't want ******* pity, I want rape to be taken seriously so girls and women who actually experience this traumatic **** can get the help they so desperately need.

I ******* hate this new age feminism. I'm sorry for the rant, but I really, really do.

Dear anon you can share the name of your rapist and he might feel the wrath of god. I got good at ******* up people's lives online.

I wasn't raped as a kid, but some dude touched me in the wrong places and that was it.
like 15 years later I saw him somewhere and recognized him, after some planning I covered my face, jumped him (funny it was near the same place he attached me), beat the crap out of him with a stick, kicked him in the nuts and spat in his face (no worries about DNA, it's not the US), and told him that I'm not done and I'll be back for him again.

Beating him up didn't give me the satisfaction, but now he's living in fear that I might come back, and that feels good, and what's better is that he doesn't know why it happened, I didn't take his money just to let him be sure it's not a robbery, just something personal.

Non extremist viewpoint: If a woman has sex but feels that she could not consent or was ko'd at a party and woke up next to a used condom, she was raped.

The problem with even the non extremist viewpoint: How a person feels is never a good position to draw judgement from. People lie. and in the second scenario we don't know if anyone did rape her or if they merely flicked used condoms at the passed out girl for drunk lulz. A society where someone can get anyone arrested on mere implications of a crime is how the inquisition worked. Accuse your neighbor of being a witch and the inquisition would give a surprise visit. Were they witches just because your cow died a day after they moved in? maybe not, but better safe than sorry.

My problem with the "I was drunk and therefor couldn't give consent" is that if you were doing anything else drunk you would still be responsible for it, except sex. If you get drunk and hit someone, that's assault, if you get drunk and drive, that's a DUI, if you get drunk and have sex it's not your fault and you had no control. What you do when drunk is still your responsibility because it's you that chose to allow yourself to be drunk, if you can't make decisions while drunk or don't give yourself some kind of safety net like a sober friend then you should control your alcohol and not get drunk, whatever happens is nobody's fault but yours.

Story time..

Be me, 17 years old. In 2013 I was at a friends home party, like 20 people there. I was there with my mates, doing stupid **** w/e, didn't really do anything other than drink and laugh that night, **** was chill af.

1 week later I got a letter in the mail saying I had to come to the police station for an interview with an officer regarding that party... what the **** , OK.
Went down there the day after, met in a room and was recorded speaking to 2 male officers.
Asked me what I did that night, everything in detal, and so I did.
Tell them it all and that I went home at 3.30 at night approx (have text message from taxi company saying it arrived at the house 3.28). They asked me if I had any sexual relations with a girl there which was underage. I say no, only spoke to one girl there, and say her name.
"Yes, her, did you have any sexual relations with her. She is 15 which is under the legal age for sex (in Norway)"
No what the **** , spoke to her for 5 minutes, thats all.
"Well she reported us saying you forced her to have sex in the houseowners bedroom, and you gave her bruises aswell".
What the **** , i spoke to her for 5 minutes and then I just went to have fun with my mates instead.

2 weeks later I meet at the 5o station her with her parents, my parents, a lawyer and a few police officers. I get angry as she sits there accusing me of doing something i NEVER did. I have to explain to everyon in that room.. that I'm a ******* VIRGIN, so NO this did not happen.

We set up one last meet where I could bring a friend to defend my case in this **** and be done with it. Same thing again, but after 30 minutes of me explaining every minute in detail of that party, the girl breaks and admits she made it up.
She was into me, and got upset when I didn't want to talk to her, so she faked it all so that I could know "how she felt".
WHAT THE **** .
I was "free" from this **** and she was hospitalized for mental illness, and is currently on and off of treatment at a mental institution here in town.

Met her randomly a couple of weeks ago in town while out shopping with a friend, said hi, while she flipped me off.
**** was dank, "Lil stupid as bitch, I don't **** with you"
