this is from one of those shows like ASPCA or something like that ( though I can't remember) he was given to a new family and put on a strict diet

(Ombra here) Humans have had to rely on domesticated animals for CENTURIES in order to survive. So basically, in seeing an endangered animal, we subconsciously take it as a personal threat, because if that animal dies, our mind thinks we may lose a companion, or a hunting partner, or a bodyguard.
