Right, but they're based on a francise, not simply war.

Maybe if we saw something like Lego Counter Strike, or Lego Battlefield, I might be inclinded to agree, but until then, no.

LEGOs policy is only concerning modern weapons, which they thought would be inappropiate for a cozy toy manufacturer.

they do produce the sci-fi weapons and medieval weapons since they have no link to modern wars, and are mostly part of a fantasy world

The reason why nobody who has been born blind has Schizophrenia is as follows. Essentially whenever you have extreme sensory deprivation your brain becomes hyper sensitive to stimuli that it tries to detect by large amounts of L-Dopa being released. L-Dopa is a form of Dopamine. With a Schizophrenic so much L-Dopa(more than real sensory deprivation) is being produced and firing that you have simulated sensory deprivation that's exponentially increased. However if you never had vision as a sensory outlet the amount of L-Dopa for sensory deprivation is a lot more so that because they can't see the amount of L-Dopa then more L-Dopa would be needed for Schizophrenia

I don't know if it really is, but it's become a meme within his community and a large part of HS related twitch, kinda like TUCK FRUMP.
User avatar #25 - trollmobile (08/22/2015) [-]
i have an IQ of 135
it's not all that great.
it made me cruise through early school, which made me lazy since i didn't actually have to try
which made me fail later in school because i never tried.
i'm a bit quicker at understanding logic than most, but that's pretty much it. very little use in daily life.

Yep, same here. Been tested a few times, and I always scored between 130-140 somewhere. I actually have ADHD as well, which makes my attention span really **** over 5 minutes.

Result: Cruised through school because I figured stuff out faster than other people, and remembered stuff easier (found patterns in information and connected them etc).

Then I started studying anatomy and physiology. Suddenly I had to memorize all this latin **** , and I had to actually work more. Latin isn't really that hard, but having breezed through school for too many years, having to work a few hours a day to achieve my normal result...

... well, it sucked. I had to start learning "how to work" at age 25, hahahah.
#44 to #43 - anon (08/22/2015) [-]
Also, the reason I score varyingly, is because I sometimes can't focus properly on bad days due to ADHD, while I get this immense "focus zone" that can last for hours other days. I also don't get medicated, because I'm way too high functioning (finishing higher education with top scores, own my own business etc).

I stopped reading after the handshake one. That just can't be true. There's no way that people were stupid enough to assume that one gesture done with one hand would completely clear someone. It isn't a logical assumption.
User avatar #17 to #15 - stifflimb (08/22/2015) [-]
It's also cause you're clearly showing of an very weak area, your wrists, plainly which makes it non threatening.
Ofc clearing hands and fore arms from weapons would not be enough it was a still seen as a peaceful act.
User avatar #23 to #15 - trollmobile (08/22/2015) [-]
no but it heavily reduces chances.
just like how people would toast by clashing their glasses together, and then drinking at the same time.
that way, if one glass was poisoned, it would spill over to the other glass, and both would drink the poison.
#18 to #15 - shigiddy (08/22/2015) [-]
It's half-true. The original "handshake" involved grasping someone forearm as opposed to their hand to feel for a dagger concealed in the shirt. Anyone who has watched Spartacus: Blood and Sand can see multiple examples of how the original handshake was. Over time the gesture became less about practicality and more about symbolism.

A very similar gesture is the salute. Originally knights would lift their visors to let another knight see their face. The gesture eventually became symbolic and now it's a display of respect in most armed forces.
User avatar #41 to #18 - galanorth ONLINE (08/22/2015) [-]
"Originally knights would lift their visors to let another knight see their face"

There is actually no proof for that. In fact, Knights usually had their visors up anyways, even when in a melee where being able to see and breathe is more important than protecting your face. For the most part, a knight would only have his visor down when arrows are raining down or during the initial charge, where lances will most definitely hit you in the face. If a knight had his visor down, then it was important that it stayed down, if you had to identify him you would just look at his heraldry.
