starting off the list is "Kozmo Dark Destroyer". and yes, yu-gi-manz has a archetype themed around star wars (And wizard of oz but we'll get to that). this is in the most recent set priced at 96 bucks. you get more worth out of battlefront's special edition (debate-ably)

i don't doubt that the majority of people on here remember this card ALL the way back from the pack "Legend of Blue-Eyes". A Ultra rare from "Retro PAck 1" will cost you 1 new modern game, A.K.A $62.00. however you can get a gold rare for 20 or the secret for 25. bonus fact as of October 2014, this card is now LEGAL at 1 (Dark hole is also at 2. go nuts)

i know what a couple of you may be asking; "Dafuq? a monster with the spell card color on the bottom half?" or something similar to that idk. but anyways, PENDULUM monsters are what these green-ish monsters are called, and this is the newest mechanic. and Archfiend eccentrick is the most expensive one going for 56.97. talk about paying a hoe top dollar.

Ghost ogre and snow rabbit (in japan its "yuki-usagi"), is nothing to special. but in this game, the most simplest and powerful cards are the best ones, and this one does that job well, which explains its price tag of 49 dollars

personally my favorite yugi-show is "Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds", but i grew up with the original like many others. and anyone who stuck around will recognize this card from the "dawn of the dragons" arc. while this card is not being used in the slightest, this card has a high asking price of 40 dollars....and 99 cents. just goes to show that sometimes nostalgia sells more than people think.

and speaking of 5Ds heres one of the most destructive cards from that era. ironic seeing as how it banishes and doesnt destroy, but anyways. for the secret rare (sparkly version), it costs about 25, but the new ultimate rare (shiny but textured. no sparkles) will cost a straight up 41 dollars (roughly). forget a 3 headed dog, a 3 headed dragon is what hades needs.

Hope you guys enjoyed it. let me know if you wanna see more of these...yugioh is one of my only good qualities next to cooking cereal and talking......

Technically, cards like Minerva and 106 still count as expensive playable cards.

Minerva is roughly $1000, 106 is roughly $500
