Fun fact, there was supposed to be an Anakin Force ghost in episode 7, that was a mix of Ani and Vader, but they scrapped it

I still say that would have been awesome. but then you'd have people sperging out over hayden christensen.

I still don't get why he put hayden in ep 6 since he died as an old man, I figure it would throw off people that don't know who he's supposed to be

Because Anakin died as a young man. From him Vader was born. When one becomes a Sith they cast off everything, who they were before is dead.

Ahh I never thought of it like that, but he redeemed himself by killing Papa Palpatine, which is the reason he became one with the Force, so his older, original version makes more sense

Way I see it personally is Vader was still very much Sith there, as he let his anger at Palpatine guide him. He was still deceiving him, using his rage to get what he needed to be done. If anything I'd say he simpy went Grey, thus the Force used what it believed to be the Light Side of Anakin, the younger Anakin, the one who would have given his life for a youngling, for Obi-Wan.

No. The moment he chose to betray Palpatine in order to save his son, the persona of Anakin Skywalker was reborn and reached the surface again.

From the moment he chose his son against his master, Darth Vader was effectively killed.
