If you think there is no chance God exists, you are very simple minded. Our great universes is so large and so complex, to say definitively there is not God is ******** .

Agnostic atheist master race. None of these ridiculous notions of gods are realistic so why commit my time to them. Although I don't dismiss the possibility.

You're just an atheist. "agnostic" is a ******** term. Belief is an active process, either you do or you don't. Anyone who doesn't conform to the requirements of "agnostic", as in thinking 100% that their **** is right with no room for the possibility of being wrong, is a goddamn fool. And we don't make default titles based on fools.

i think it depends on the definition of god/s theres also the whole absence of evidence is evidence of absence thing but i digress . like, we can agree that theres no such thing as a married bachelor, since such an entity is contradictory by definition and we need not look any further than that, so we could also agree that an omnipotent entity couldnt possibly exist, since theres the whole omnipotence paradox thing.
the idea of some super powerful universe creating thing or things with limits out there im mostly fine with though. i dont see any reason to believe such things exists but im not denying they could.

Definitivity is dumb in general.
One should make the distinction between "I believe there is" vs. "There is."

I have to agree.

I know a lot of people would argue that religion and science are diametrically opposed, that one cannot exists if the other does.
Personally, I would choose science over religion in heartbeat.
That's not to say I dismiss religions outright.
I'm not particularly religious, but maybe...Iunno, maybe spiritual is the right word?

Yet, I do think there is...well, "something" out there.

Maybe that something is a god, some form of higher intelligence, whatever, I don't know, and I don't think we could ever truly know.
This universe to too inhumanly immense and follows laws that are beyond human understanding.
Maybe that's the scientific hardline under it all, the human tendency to want to know.
I guess that's science, belief in one idea until a better one comes along that is either more complete or has a more thorough explanation, etc, all because we need to know.

Having said that, maybe that's proof there is something out there, the fact that it's all too complex to be random.
Then again, if the universe is so unfathomable in space and time, maybe life is just an eventuality.
Maybe that's why religion, correct or not, exists.
So that we can sleep at night, comforted we have some form of meaning in plane of existence, that we are divinely protected from whatever lurks in the void.

I don't know, I'm just a clinical psych major.

But hey, it's interesting to think about, right?

i can mostly agree, although the universe isnt random, like you said it follows physical laws.
personally i see no reason to believe whatever caused the big bang if it even had a cause, like the big bang was the "beginning" of time, and without time theres no "before", no cause needed for an effect. had to be intelligent, its most likely yet another eventuality of physics like everything else.

Oh I definitely agree. I Don't think the earth is 6000 yers old or evolution is a myth R.I.P Dale Ernheardt Sr. , But I always trust the scientific explanation over what the bible says, but the fact that the universe is so complex and intricate reinforces my faith. I like to think that there is a being out there so advanced we cannot comprehend it, and he knows we a re here and he's looking out for us
