This ***** pisses me off.

If I moved somewhere that didn't celebrate Christmas as I do, I wouldn't bitch and ******* moan about it.

I would most certainly not be offended by it. Why should I be?

I have no problem with foreigners in general, but if someone moves to my country and actually feels offended by a holiday that is celebrated by at least 80% of the population then they can **** right off to where they came from where they don't have to feel offended.

TL;DR version:

Foreigners are okay with me until they start really ******* with things like holidays and being all offended.

Don't like things here?
Move the **** back home.

now replace "foreigners" with homosexuals. That's how homophobic people feel.
User avatar #37 to #32 - secretmouse (11/13/2013) [-]
Right, but the thing is that homosexual people are not destroying anything in this sort of manner that I can see.

And please don't even start with the whole 'Fags are ruining the sanctity of marriage, blah blah blah' stuff because A) They are obviously not trying to ruin anything, they just want to get married like straight people are allowed to. B) It has nothing to do with the issue that I was discussing with that other fellow. There are some foreigners who are actually offended by our holidays and want action taken, whereas homosexual people are for the most part 'live and let live' sorts of people. The ones that I've met and heard about, anyway (And yes, of course there will be the odd one that isn't, but I did mean the majority.)

Not trying to pick a fight or anything, just so you know.

The worst part of it is that most Muslims/immigrants aren't offended at all by any of our holidays, it's "politically correct" getting their knickers in a twist because people "might" be offended.
User avatar #8 to #7 - secretmouse (11/11/2013) [-]
You're probably right, and perhaps I was a little too annoyed when I wrote that.

It's just that something like this shouldn't be an issue, and that it is one is simply asinine...
User avatar #10 to #8 - bigfriendlyginger (11/11/2013) [-]
oh don't misunderstand me, it pisses me off immensely when people move to a country then complain it isn't more like the one they left to be there, it just pisses me of even more when PC Muppets get all namby pampy about it and cock it all up.

you couldn't have possibly been too annoyed when you typed it, because frankly i can't think of a level of anger inappropriate in this situation.
still it isn't much of an issue because if it came to it people would protest and kick up a fuss if anyone actually tried to "ban" or change a national/religious holiday for fear of offending someone.

TL;DR Eh don't worry about it.

In my city alot of indians & muslims were complaining about how we get a big tree in the town centre well they get Diwali so shut the **** up
User avatar #2 to #1 - iambartichello (11/11/2013) [-]
in Brussels there is a yearly christmas market(celebration that lasts for a few weeks for the hollidays) and the political coerctness had them rename it the winter festivities. also the christmass tree had to be removed and they replaced it with a metal constructuion that looks hideous and cost 50k €.

foreigners culture must not be lost but ours apparently does not matter

Zwarte piet.

Basically, we have 2 santas. One comes a bit earlier, by boat, from spain. He has helpers who climb through chimneys to leave presents in your home. Due to the chimneys, their faces are black but now some foreigners decided that this is racist. (It took them a good 300 years to figure that out.)
User avatar #20 to #4 - rossthomson (11/12/2013) [-]
A friend of mine works at the Canon headquarters in Holland, and the only people who ever volunteer to dress up as black pete are the dutch employees. All the Japanese ones thinks it's pretty ****** weird to go around in black face. Go figure.
#24 to #20 - invadingaliens (11/12/2013) [-]
Well, it's a part of culture. I find it ******* weird that they have tentacle porn. I find it ******* weird that they have such ****** up TV shows. Do you see me going there and trying to ban it, though?
User avatar #26 to #24 - rossthomson (11/12/2013) [-]
Well, I don't think you can compare something like pornography tastes to a national tradition where they make people dress up in blackface and full red lips.
#27 to #26 - invadingaliens (11/12/2013) [-]
Each country has its own culture. I don't go to a country that has a different culture than mine and then bitch about it.
That's like banning the night because it's black at night.

that tree was so ******* ugly... the worste part is that he was shaped like a christmas tree.
why would you change a christmas tree by something more expensive who look like a ( ugly as **** ) christmas tree ?

I hate to say it but, Why must we change our ways for people who move to out country? I respect all Cultures/Religeons but they came to our home and they expect us to change and adapt to them.
User avatar #23 - ultimatebadass (11/12/2013) [-]
I had a debate on this sort of thing in my sociology lab yesterday, which has a lot of muslims in it, I said they shouldn't try to change our way of life because if they loved their own that much why did they come to our country. Needless to say a bunch of them were butthurt but the prof agreed with me

Time for some RRRRAAAAAGGGGGEEEE. It's bad enough that this ******** pollutes my facebook feed, but at least I expect people there to be ******* idiots who swallow every lie served up to them like it was a fat wad of daddy's man-fat.

We're supposed to be better than this, Funnyjunk. Yes, we can be a bunch of hate-filled bigots at times. Yes, we can assault the weak, the different & the defenseless for no better reason than lulz - but by god we can do it using real facts, not this manipulative tabloid ******** that was debunked as a lie within days of it's being published 8 ******* years ago.

Get your ******* act together, you're bringing shame to the famiry.

Now that pisses me off. **** philistines.
