It's not just that. EA rushed the game by deciding to publish the game months too early. There were huge bugs, almost to the point where the game was considerably broken.
Likewise, a lot of people hated the game because it had a mandatory Origin sign-in and download. That's also what pissed people off.
True, though, it was a little bit of Maxis's fault that they got shut down, but EA still had a great influence on their failure.
>tfw westwood is pepsi
>tfw renegade could have been an even better game
>tfw going through gigabytes worth of unused game files
>tfw not being able to go through the nod campaign as mendoza's sexy beret
>tfw it will always only be half-done
I like to wish Spore could have been so much more had EA not been holding Maxis by the balls.
I was looking forward to that game being the best thing ever after I saw its first demos.
Then it just turned into a huge disappointment.
Looks cool so far. And I'm glad they updated over that hexagonal stuff.
And they plan to go all the way to space age civilization stuff afterwards?
I hope it plays more like an RTS where you command fleets/entire planets rather than your own little ****** ship..
**itskennyandjosh used "*roll picture*"** **itskennyandjosh rolled image**EA makes good games if you just pirate the DLC, the sims is fuggen awesome with all the DLC
Because then the game is actually finished. And to be fair it's not that all their games are horrible, it's that none of their games are worth the $60 plus buying all the DLC which can cost more than the actual game sometimes.
They were shut down after the creation of C&C Renegades, it was a mediocre shooter placed in the C&C universe which got meh reviews. after it's release EA disbanded west wood
