im asking this out of pure curiosity, why would doritos need to dontate money to the gays? they're not disabled
#43 to #9 - bloodoffear (10/27/2015) [-]
Since it's called the "it gets better" project, Im gonna assume it deals with the abnormally high suicide rate among homosexual teens.
User avatar #84 to #43 - halor (10/27/2015) [-]
yeah it was 100k to LGBTQ suicide awareness

To raise gay awareness. You might not have known you were gay until this happened.

anti gay sentiment is still fairly high in america. Not sure quite where the money goes though tbh.

Mostly it would go to shelters and such that take care of specifically LGBT youth, often ones who are thrown out of their parents' homes for being the way they are.

Exactly who or what specific organisation the money was sent to, I have no idea.

It's "Jackson". I know a Jaxon.

Regarding this one:

It's possible that the reason a recovery happened is that very young children produce an abundance of stem cells due to growing at a really fast rate. It's a real miracle that this kid was able to recover from that, but in case anyone was wondering how it could even happen, the stem cells are likely the answer.

This while cool is a horrible idea.
pylons are built as they are because its the most utalitarian design, its easiest to maintain, easiest to repair and most resilient to weather and catastrophes.
Making them look like that they would be a bitch to maintain and repair (and that's a dangerous job as it is) and in case of some sort of natural disaster they would go down like a house of cards.

This is why artists should never be in charge of engineers.
User avatar #92 to #72 - MrDrProfessor (10/27/2015) [-]
That's like saying architects shouldn't design buildings based on aesthetics. Some beautiful buildings might not be as cost effective or as resilient but that's a price they're willing to pay for being a pleasure to the eye. I'm sure they were aware of the pros and cons when they built them, and theyre their towers, not yours so it's their decision
User avatar #97 to #92 - angelusprimus (10/28/2015) [-]
They haven't built them, it was a proposal and, thankfully, it was completely rejected by electrical engineers.
And good architect will balance aesthetic with functional, only stupid one will make something that's pretty but useless for its purpose.
This statues would have became deathtraps for people maintaining them, and as such they would be completely useless for their primary purpose.

Does anyone know if you can purchase the Himalayan bee honey?
User avatar #62 to #58 - sanctionseven (10/27/2015) [-]
excellent question.
User avatar #64 to #62 - crutos ONLINE (10/27/2015) [-]
you know

for science
User avatar #73 to #64 - sanctionseven (10/27/2015) [-]
Did some research, it appears you can... just not easily and the source is iffy. Also, it has some toxic effects too because it contains a poison. Higher doses can cause acute heart-attacks. Visual effects are apparently mild but the sights come with some slight body muffage, as this opens up some sort of sodium area in your body.
User avatar #74 to #73 - crutos ONLINE (10/27/2015) [-]
Well it can't be that bad if the himalaya people climb mountains to harvest it
User avatar #76 to #74 - sanctionseven (10/27/2015) [-]
Accurate, but according to this research it is sad that "Mad Honey" sells for almost four times as much as organic store-style honey.
User avatar #78 to #76 - crutos ONLINE (10/27/2015) [-]
Probably worth it
User avatar #77 to #76 - sanctionseven (10/27/2015) [-]
This would easily make locals due quite a bit to get some seeing they could make good buck if their methods are professional.
User avatar #79 to #77 - crutos ONLINE (10/27/2015) [-]
Yeah that makes sense
#93 to #79 - captainbalu (10/27/2015) [-]

look, i dont really care who wants to **** who as long as it's a human drawn ones dont count, sorry weeb but... this gay agenda **** got out of control. You can't look in any direction when it comes to pop culture these days without seeing something pushing that agenda. Some things, which i'd rather avoid anyway like the music awards.... are just painfully obvious about their intentions too.
#85 to #75 - anon (10/27/2015) [-]
btw i guess i should have said "as long as it's a human and not rape/a child but that should also really just ******* go without saying...just saying.

User avatar #91 - ChewyConor (10/27/2015) [-]
Red things look black/grey underwater. And that's only once you go deep anyway.
A few years ago I went on a submarine tour and it was interesting how the colours became black/grey through the spectrum; red first, then orange, yellow, then finally green. Even at the deepest part we went to, the purples were still distinguishable from the blue/grey of everything else.

Why does LGBT need 100k for..? Are they ******* dying? Do we need to fund research for something? I support them but yall don't need 100k lol. I need a fraction of that. I actually don't need any but **** ..
