and to think... most of that is human skin
#14 to #12 - asdffes (04/12/2014) [-]
I read somewhere a while ago that 80% of dust inside comes from outside but the reaming 20% consisted mostly of dead skin cells.

Although thats kind of an oxymoron isn't it since skin cells are already dead by the time they make it to the surface.

The dust looked yellow-ish, most likely been around a smoker so some of it would be from that as well

OH YEAH? I HAD A PC FOR 7 YEARS AND IT WAS SLOW AS **** . WHEN MY STEP-DAD REMOVED THE DUST IT STOPPED WORKING.
User avatar #67 to #36 - killthebilly (04/12/2014) [-]
It was 7 years old. Also, he probably smashed something inside when he cleaned it up.
User avatar #85 to #67 - redstonealchemist ONLINE (04/12/2014) [-]
probably, but we usually joke that the pc could only work still because of the dust bunnies inside

This is my before. I can record a video of me blowing it out if you guys want.

Granted it's not as bad as the one in this gif... but it's still bad.

Your PC has grown hair
User avatar #78 to #76 - minnten (04/12/2014) [-]
yeaa..... that's what happens when the fan goes out on your GPU and you have a desktop fan blowing into the open side of it for a year. =\

The sad part? This was after 2 cans of duster were applied. I'm taking it to work tonight to use the air compressor.
#86 to #76 - minnten (04/13/2014) [-]
Here's the after

Apparently my case is meant to place the power supply at the bottom. after a year I kept getting blue screens of death. So i looked into my PC and I was like ''hmmm I don't see anything wrong here'' I finally looked at the bottom and i was like ''Oh lawd''

Why would you do this.

Dont blow air into your computer.

SUCK IT OUT

use a vacuum cleaner, this is what they're made for. all that dust gets sucked into a neat little tube and doesnt make anyone sneeeze
User avatar #62 to #60 - slobiscuit (04/12/2014) [-]
you know that you need a hell'a strong of a vacuum cleaner to suck things out of little places. blowing into computers is way better for removing dirt. you know how much sucking power would you need to remove the kind of dirt that blowing does?!
#63 to #62 - pornoranger (04/12/2014) [-]
And here we see an internet expert on sucking power
#72 to #62 - anon (04/12/2014) [-]
You'd need as much sucking power as his mom
User avatar #65 to #60 - brawlman (04/12/2014) [-]
you might damage components using a hoover, blowing compressed air is much safer for your mother board
