Not sure if it's yours, but I'll shoot anyway.

Realtime Worlds should be on it. Founded by the bloke who invented GTA, then they made All Points Bulletin.

Published by... EA, it failed, obviously, then they went bankrupt.

dice should not be on there, battelfeild 3 and 4 are not bad games and dice are by far one of the more autonomous developers EA owns.

Still no excuse for releasing a game that was so broken, that EA was nearly sued for releasing such an unfinished piece of trash.

maybe you managed to slink by the launch date with no bugs, but there is a metric ton of evidence of people being given an unplayable experience, crashes everywhere. thats a travesty.

and id say dice definitely has to be on the ea list given their current delivery scheme of DLC.

ME2 I have no big problems with but ME3 is one of the biggest catastrophes in gaming history. Had the same buildup and payoff as the Star Wars prequels did. Everything snowballed into a massive expectation for the ending and then... that happened.

The story was bad but the multiplayer was very well done and you could easily burn a day playing it with all the different classes. Also the story was actually fixed and a lot of pretty awesome DLC came out that was pretty well priced (Citadel DLC probably one of the best DLCs made)

The Multiplayer was completely broken. All you ever needed to be was a vanguard. Just charge, nova, charge, nova, charge, nova, charge, nova. Even against the tougher enemies you would rinse through the game.

Same with single player. Charge, nova. Repeat ad-infinitum. And the story was actually pretty decent until you get to the ending.

You'd do that if you're grinding to just win for bragging rights, I still play the multiplayer now and do silly stuff like everyone go Quarian engineer, it's not fun to play it just for the sake of winning which is essentially what going Vanguard was. Nothing could beat the spec ops female Turian imo.

And gotta give them credit to fixing the ending, the new ending still urks me a little bit but it's a lot more bareable now

Not when you know what is really going on, when you read between the lines and see what Bioware left in there for the player to divine. In all honesty the re-done endings are one the most atrocious things I've ever seen in gaming. It's beyond evident that EA chimed in and forced Bioware to publish the game before it would be ready, hence they had to cut things out of the ending. The endings we're given are just clever lies under which hides a barely-hidden truth that Bioware clearly had much more story left to tell us.

But the re-done endings are just for the sake of re-enforcing the lie, rather than telling the truth. They don't cancel out what actually is happening in the story because all of the evidence of the truth is still left in the game (meaning they had the chance to remove countless elements that seem to have led to a misunderstanding if you believe the lie (which would have been -really- easy to remove-) but instead left them in, further proving the truth).

The re-done endings are just to placate the people who believe them but are infuriating for the people who know what is actually going on.

Oh I know what you mean, I try to force myself to like them but I know there's an uncomfertably lack of closure about the characters. I think EA told them to focus too much on the multiplayer which eventually lead to the delay in getting the ending done.

But I think Mass Effect 3 overall was much more than just the ending, I mean there was so much that the ending ****** up and still ***** up (I honestly don't see how full renegade changes anything except for most people ending up dead) but the rest of the game was good. There were little things that bugged me like not being able to holster weapons when you're walking around and there are no enemies but that was just them trying to be an action game.

The core experience was a very nice experience, but I do agree with the new ending they are just putting lipstick on a pig.

Only with regards to individual vs group belief, although there is much more to the subject and there is a 1000 character limit.

What you're thinking of, is that because they're part of a group that has a certain set of ideals, it doesn't mean that they have these ideals.
The problem with and point of the picture above, is to show how irrelevant this dissociation an individual can take from the group.

Being part of a group that has a certain set of ideals, is the same as saying that you have these ideals. When inquired further, you might answer differently from the group, but as long as you are officially part of this group, the beliefs that you tell the people around you, will be those of the group you represent.

It's important to understand the difference between an official and unofficial statement, because you act on the official statements, otherwise you can get these mixed messages, seen here with the KKK. In this case the official statement from EA is that they support SOPA.

This comic hasn't made sense for two years, it was relevant and kinda sorta true 2 full years ago but now it's just railing on EA for something that's... not really a thing?

But also even when this comic was relevant the parallel it's drawing doesn't really make any sense, I mean yeah sure obviously the whole KKK versus SOPA thing is a pretty overblown hyperbole to begin with but aside from that the KKK are really all about racism and discrimination and aren't really about anything else, the ESA has a much broader range of interests, interests that most of can actually kind of agree on.
Sure SOPA was ******* stupid, it was written by someone who really had no idea how anything he was dealing with worked. someone with an outside perspective that believed he understood the big picture so he didn't have to worry about the details and it is ESA's fault for not reading it very clearly or considering its implications when they said they supported it, but bedeviling EA because they support a group who 'supported' a ****** half baked plot to stop online piracy is kind of stupid, especially 2 ******* years after the fact.

The only way this parallel is accurate is if you're not you weren't against SOPA because it was grossly broken and would pretty much destroy freedom on the internet but because on some level or another it was trying to stop online piracy.

Also I think it's worth noting that EA received a TON of ****** hate that year and the year following just because they were pretty much 'the' people to hate even though there were lots of other people to hate for much worse things than anything EA did. They made a bad ending to game everyone loved, one of their several dozens of branches treated their employees poorly, they tried to compete with steam, they had a bad year and had to lay some people off, and for the entire year everyone treated them like they were the devil even going so far as to vote them as the WORST COMPANY IN THE WORLD. Well you know who else is part of the ESA? Microsoft, Nvidia, Sony, Blizzard, Capcom, Warner Bros, Disney, Square enix, and dozens of other big game studios yet I have never once seen anyone saying they supported SOPA even though people bring up the whole Oh EA supported SOPA thing over and ******* over.

Seriously the guy who makes that comic is a huge band wagon whore and is worse than EA ever was, almost all of his 'opinions' are just regurgitated **** logic popular opinions from the depths of Tumblr, Reddit and 4chan.
