**anonymous used "*roll picture*"** **anonymous rolled image** because no one can do that many squats. 10km running, possibly.Sit-ups, maybe. Push-ups, unlikely. but 100 Squats? Every day? Theres a reason we all skip legday
he just claimed he casually walked from his universe to another, fought a guy who can blow up planets, and was back for breakfast....ofcourse people are going to be skeptic about **** .
well his training itself is rather underwhelming for someone that can move at relativistic speed and has continent level dc... and im pretty sure everybody else he talks to has gone through a training from hell to get to their own level.
His first opponent was a man who became "strong" by eating a lot of crab. Then there was the guy who had car parts... and technically Genos hasn't gone through too much training. He's a cyborg, so he just kind of keeps upgrading.
well true..most of the characters we have seen are mutates and tech wizzes...
butt still. considering the set up generic anime the manga, there is bound to be someone who has gone through the hell in a handbasket training...like maybe bang or something-..
I think its more of a what the character believe to be the thing. So like bluemage said the first oponnent believed that he can get strong by eating a lot of crabs and thanks to that become a crab monster.
that would delve into a mechanic of the verse that we have no proof of existing as off yet...tho there are some things that could support your theory...still i wont go into that without further allusions from the manga itself...
Story and character doesn't change just because someone makes a theory on the internet. The autor is not gonna change his story to anyone liking.
The only thing that changes is the point of view of the person theorizing.
but the fandom will change their views of a character to fit whatever idiotic theory or opinion they have. which will in the long term affect the character in the story. specially if the writers of the story lack integrity of character.
So is that the fault of the author of a theory? No its the fault of the fandom. Just because someone makes guns doesn't transform him into a murderer hell bent on destroying humanity and kill thousend of children every second.
a negative intent is not needed for a thing to have a negative impact.
aquaman wanking started off as people trying to remind people that aquaman isnt a joke character, and this gave us the "plz stop making fun of me" aquaman.
batman was just a loved character, that then devolved from a badass normal into the god of everything, and the comic books followed suit, making him annoyingly mary sueish(even tho that is another term i dislike using.it fits his interactions with the rest of the dc world perfectly) character.
theory crafting CAN indeed help understand the lore, but as i said: It most likely just has a negative impact on the community(and at worst cases, the show itself) rather than actually helping us with anything.
My personal theory is that it absolutely was the training, but in the sense that Saitama broke his own physical limits. It doesn't matter that superheroes didn't think his workout was extreme, it matters that Saitama was pushing his personal limits and breaking them.
Well like genos said during the carnage Beetle fight, it is just basic strength training and not even a extreme amount in consideration.
What i think it is, since OPM started off as a parody of the shonen style, is that Saitama's drive to become the strongest hero ever powered him up to that point. But Saitama doesn't know that so he assumes its just the strength training and not the heart and soul behind the training
i think it's excess, saitaima did the same training every day for three years, crab man ate onmly crab every day and became a crab, the smartest man and strongest man did just those thing, study and lift weights and the strongesst man became massive due to the help of the smartest man. while not being looked at it is a theme in the anime
I think Saitama has that same thing every villain has, that misterious force that turned a guy that ate too much crab into a crab, except that the guy having the ideal of becoming a hero (pseudo pure heart) and his rigorous training (even if it's kinda mediocre), made him the gobal punch delivering god that he is
What makes it retarded for you?
Is it the premise? The characters? The mood of the manga/anime?
Here's my two cents: What I like in OPM is how mundane the character is. A super powerful man that has the power to punch reality to submission, yet he is a hero only because he wants to be.
The story is good in the sense that it makes characters around the protagonist evolve.
The protagonist has been given his character evolution right off the bat, so it's not that interesting to follow what Saitama does. What is interesting, is seeing how others react to Saitama, and how others basically act around Saitama. Basically, what I mean is, that OPM is a series about an insanely powerful guy, who causes others around him to strive to get better and change their perspective of the world, and themselves. It's an interesting and fresh concept to storytelling, which makes me interested in it.
Him being supermanly strong is the joke. Also what else do you mean with everything? His attitude? Well he just doesn't give a crap about anything. He wanted to be a super hero, but now he's become so strong that nothing is a challenge to him, so why even bother.
Well, only for you. Many people, myself included think it's funny, so there's nothing for you to do except find another manga/anime, that suits your requirements.
The premise is retarded, but the execution is surprisingly good which makes it enjoyable, and if you forget about the retarded premise then it's great.
This is where I first found it
