It's not about the cartoon (or I don't know, maybe for some people it is), rather, it's lamp shading a trope everyone recognizes, hence the popularity.
If you're disappointed this made the front page you cannot have been here for very long, friend. Wait a few days and one of those "I bet I can get this stick on the front page" things will come up and you can be right proper angry about that.

"You're all children for liking a cartoon." Says the guy who named himself after a cartoon character and uses said character as his mascot.

So basically your cartoon is better because of cursing and blood? Doesn't that make you the child?

Thought so.

Your name is "Alucard lives". You have no room to talk, regardless of whether you mean Hellsing or Castlevania, because you are sufficiently obsessed with a fantasy to name yourself after it.

You obviously don't realize that you can enjoy things and still be an adult. Do we as humans have to reach a point in our life where we decided that one thing is too childish? I like Sesame street, Phineas and Ferb, and loony toons. But I also watch colbert, helsing, and NatGeo. I play pokemon AND Borderlands 2. My age and maturity level has nothing to do with my preferences and likes/dislikes.

Either you are younger than you want to admit, or you have denied yourself in order to be what you consider more 'mature'. But don't put down others for being who they are. just because we don't lie to ourselves does not mean that we are childish. Heck, my 80 year old grandfather likes to watch spongebob in the mornings.

And anyway, the ladies dig a guy who lets his inner child out. No woman wants to date a guy who is all business all the time.

That's the thing about opinions,
I don't have to agree with you.
I think you're holding yourself back.
User avatar #114 to #111 - avatarvszelda (02/01/2014) [-]
Holding myself back from what? What could I possibly gain from saying what I am so mature that I can't enjoy a kids show?

I am a glassblower. I stick my hands in a furnace that reaches temperatures in excess of 2,000 degrees. I put molten hot liquid glass on a pipe and shape it into a wineglass with nothing more than a wet newspaper and a pair of tweezers. I served four years in the military. I drove a FAASV, which is a vehicle that transports a few thousand pounds of artillery rounds, charges, and fuses. I even do a bit of blacksmithing on the side, though I am not too good at is since I only started it this year.

So sure, maybe I don't have a pair. But I have to ask you, what makes you think that you do? if the only thing that make you more of an adult is your choice of TV show, than I have bad news for you. You have the wrong impression of what being an adult is. Being an adult is about being responsible, hardworking, and willing to make the hard choices.

Deciding whether or not an adult should be watching Phineas and Ferb is not one of those hard choices.

As you said earlier
"your time on this earth may say that
But your actions dictate otherwise"

Just because you hit puberty does not make you an adult.
User avatar #134 to #133 - alucardlives (02/01/2014) [-]
And what makes me a child?
That i disagree with your opinion,
Then our government is run by children.
Close enough.
User avatar #138 to #134 - avatarvszelda (02/01/2014) [-]
No. I never called you a child. I just said that having balls does not make one an adult. That just so happened to be the only defence you put up. Give me some other evidence of maturity and then we can discuss based on that information.

Even though you have been trolling, you have done so in a mature manner. I can respect that. And if disagreeing makes one a child, then we are both children because we both disagree with the other. I am just saying that I have a different definition of what being an adult means, and that yours (to me) is a little too simplistic if it is defined by ones TV show choices.

I think this far into the conversation we've established that alucardlives is either enjoying this argument sexually, or will not be convinced of your viewpoint before the heat death of the universe. Please enjoy your emotional maturity and glassblowing, and heed not the crazy person.
