I saw a minutephysics video that said that pink is a lie, and that it instead is minusgreen. Because of the whole colorspectrum not being a circle, but a line ending with red and purple. I dont understand physics
The color pink is only a filler color to us. If you take the light spectrum and roll it in a circle, there is a gap between purple and red because we cannot see UV and IR light. Our mind compensates by creating a new color to fill the void. So technically pink does not exist its only a color in our heads.
Since you look at this clockwise, logically by your brain there is a lack of a collour, brighter than pink. You do this step even before you see the red collour. After that you will get confused.
Yes, i knew that, but i don't understand it. Light, color and our perceptions are all strange things if you decide to think about it and then realize you don't understand anything. But i like the way our eyes and brain have their little illusions to help our perception along the way. Quite neat
yes it is quite neat. And 99% of physics is things we don't understand. I mean nothing is truly proven so the fact that you don't understand physics is normal. No physicist can say they understand it and if they do they're lying.
Indeed. That's the bothersome part of it. I think the smallest and most complicated thing i can claim to sorta truly understand would be biology and chemistry. At least they follow the rules of the world we normally perceive. Beyond that, I'm lost in a void of bafflement
What is engineering physics? I don't happen to know all the specific branches of this. I have decided to give up on physics for quite some years, and know little of it. Just a few pebbles from a few scattered territories of the field of physics
In case anyone was wondering;
This has to do with situational blindness (I think that's what it's called). Basically your brain sees all of the dots, but since only one is "moving" (if you choose to look at it as the green dot is moving in a circle) your brain decides that that is the only one that is important because all of the others are staying still. So your brain makes the other dots "disappear" so that you can focus on the thing thats actually important.
I think my blind spot is also coming into play on this on ass I also see the illusion of the "green" dot eating up all the pink dots and after eating them all spewing them back out as it goes around
