That's ridiculous. She'll probably get off with a warning, though.

With such perfect evidence? No.

I know FJ wants to believe that women get away with literally everything, but as ****** as our legal system is, it's not THAT ****** . The dude has concrete proof of vandalism, reckless driving, and attempted manslaughter.

Police knife attack: Homeless woman caught on tape cutting cop's throat, gets acquitted haha... I wouldn't bet on it

Well those are usually for cases where there isn't any cold, hard evidence like a video of it in action like this. I imagine she wouldn't get away with something as trivial as a warning.

I dunno I could see her getting attempted murder/manslaughter for just about running him down.

Not only that, but she's going to be sued directly for the damages. Not just for the direct damages, but any time it take out of his life to get them fixed. Plus emotional damages...which he could easily get because he almost got run down.

Sadly, the real reason he probably won't get much of anything is because people who make stupid ass decisions like this don't make much money.

She's driving a Mercedes so she probably has some money, or is in debt up to her eyes. So, with the video evidence, he could either make a good chunk of change off of her stupidity and violence or destroy her financially for at least a decade. She both destroyed his car, causing at least several thousand dollars in damages, and attempted to hit him with her car, which could be argued is attempted murder but would most likely end up in court being called something like vehicular assault. At the very least she should have her license taken away, be fined and forced to pay for all damages and receive a few months of jail time and/or house arrest. At worse, she could lose her license, have to pay fines, damages and some form of restitution and be forced to server several years in jail, but she is unlikely to serve much if any jail time unless she has done this before.

The charge would be "Attempted Second-Degree Homicide" That could be a 5-15 year sentence depending on the state. Most likely it wasn't a premeditated attempt, but if you can prove that she planned it out days in advance then you can get a First Degree charge, which is a much harder sentence.

Thats because about 100 years ago it was argued that women are like children and are not capable of making correct decisions so we shouldnt be too hard on them.

Lol, by the so called justice system. I would just say we should make up, get her drunk or drugged and give her to a bunch of mates for a gang rape and video tape it. Then send her arse to Syria.
