Yeah, it's not terribly long content, so I saw it the first time.

The boyfriend deserved it. A girl's dad's job is LITERALLY to scare the piss outta the boyfriend and size him up. If you aren't man enough to take his abuse, then you aren't man enough to date his daughter. I mean honestly, you wanna violate his baby girl, you should be able to take a little **** from the man.

The key is not losing your mind if the boyfriend does actually push back. If his purpose really is to size him up, then there would be no issue with playing along, now would there?

"You know I own a gun, right?"
"It better kill me."

I've only ever been on the boyfriend side. Being 20, I have no children (thank god)

The key is to be a man. Shake the dad's hand, look him in the eye, answer all his questions, be prompt, specific, don't lie, etc.

I'm talking when he goes to actively **** with the guy. You know...

"I ain't afraid to go to jail bo-ah!"

Although I agree with you to some degree, being that the dad should indeed size up the boyfriend, I don't think it's his job to reduce him to tears. I don't think a girl's father should decide fully (with obvious exception of abusive and/or otherwise asshole guys) what types of boys his daughter should be dating, and apparently in this instance his behavior doesn't make his daughter very happy.

I've walked into my fair share of "I'll be here cleaning my gun"s and "I've gotten arrested for less" speeches. Personally, if you get reduced to tears for that, you don't deserve to violate that man's daughter.

Like my name states, I want to be in the Navy. (Praying on the hoes that I get my SEAL contract.)
If I cry because someone is verbally abusing me, then what makes you think I could handle basic?
I don't even remember the last time I've cried.

Sometimes verbal is painful.
