#23 - anonymous (08/01/2014) [+] (2 replies)
according to this, dogs can see blue and yellow, but not green. blue and yellow make green so that doesn't seem to make sense.

You're mixing the rules of paint colors with the rules of light colors.

How is it possible to see blue and yellow wjile not green?
User avatar #82 to #80 - xtwinblade (08/01/2014) [-]
because dogs dont have green cones. Their eyes literally cant percieve what we call the colour green because the eyes dont have the cone to send the corresponding nervesignal to the brain saying "hey this is green"

Some humans can see a lot more colors than other. I think i's only a very small percent of women, tho.

But, how did they know what dog sees?
Did they ask the dogs?
Did they cut a dog's eye and transplant it into a human?

Dogs colour blindness is called deuteranopia. There is an option on Photoshop to see everything as a dog sees it.
