Oblivion story time.

My character was a goody two-shoes at first. I finished the main quest, the mages guild, the fighters guild, the arena and a ******** of sidequests before I even began doing the dark brotherhood. So after I had done the dark brotherhood and my illusion and sneak were both around 60, I thought "What does the thieves guild have to offer?".

So I did the quests for the thieves guild and at some point I had to break in the castle of Anvil. What happened next was pretty stupid.

I snuck out and one person (maybe guard, I don't remember) attacked me. I was friends with the healer so the healer attacked the attacker. Not before long the entire castle was in uproar and people were dying and arrows were shooting and spells were hurtling left and right. I walked into town to see the guards slaughtering the locals and the prophet guy near the chappel being beaten the crap out of. Some guard was fighting another guard because he hit him with a couple of arrows. I reload my save which was just before the mission and it didn't happen the next time.

Same thing happened in Cheydinhal for some reason when I did that quest about corruption among the guards. Just when I had broken in the captain's office and walked out with the evidence, the guards riddled the captain with arrows and just as I looked over (I just heard the 'swoosh' sound of arrows a dozen times and the "ah" sounds the guy made before I knew where to look), the captain's body (pierced with a ******* of arrows since archery in oblivion is the dinkiest kind of combat) fell against the wall, and he sat there looking like Boromir.

Stuff like that happened more often than I remember because of the whole disposition mechanic in Oblivion.

my oblivion experience:
>be walking outside imperial city
>find random inn in the forest by a lake
>dark out, seems like chill place
>go in
>see guard sitting by the fire place
> done nothing wrong so go to say hi
>guard turns his head from the fire place and looks at me
>"stop right there criminal scum you have violated the law!"
>must have picked a door or something
>wait **** what?
>get arrested, still don't know what i was arrested for
>what a nice inn

This comic is inaccurate. There are no children in Cyrodiil.
