Disney fucks Tarantino over

Quentin Tarantino had a deal with LA's Cinerama Dome to show his new movie "The Hateful Eight" for two weeks, starting December 25th.

Then Disney say they want the theater to show Star Wars, but Arclight, the owner of Cinerama Dome, say no, because they have a deal with Tarantino.

Then Disney say that if they don't get to use the Dome when they want, the Dome will not be allowed to show Star Wars: The Force Awakens, or any other theatre owned by Arclight.

So they went back on their deal with Tarantino, because money.

So **** Disney.

Man that's ****** . Forcing them to break contract like that is too ****** . I can't make any full opinions on the matter yet because Disney hasn't issued a response, but as things currently stand they're clearly in the wrong. Good thing I'm not a very big fan of Star Wars; I wouldn't be hyped to see the movie after knowing about this.

Super ****** , but doesn't matter. People will always preorder games, big money wins in politics, and the big films will always get their way.

Why does Tarantino always look so damn sweaty?

Probably blasted on drugs is my guess.

Or, maybe, he just sweats a lot, especially under special lighting conditions like you'd find on the set of a show.

Not everyone famous, just those who create something.

It's not like Tarantino isn't a bit of a prick himself. Also that's pretty much how hollywood has worked forever..... the biggest movies/ production companies throw their weight around.

I like Tarantino's movies, but don't much care for him as a person. Unlike most people I can reconcile those differences. pretty sure hateful 8 is going to be excellent.
User avatar #50 to #1 - rebornpotato (12/18/2015) [-]
How is he a prick? Just because he curses and is upset?
User avatar #53 to #50 - lean (12/18/2015) [-]
He is incredibly egotistical, saying things like he doesn't even feel like other film makers offer competition (box office bro), has repeatedly bashed movies above and beyond simple dislike because he doesn't like the actor, or director, or writer. He has slapped, spat on, and otherwise assaulted reporters on red carpet moments(1997 oscars, sundance festival etc.). He has also publicly derided cast and crew members of his own films for things that he doesn't agree with.

Like I said, i like his movies. I do not at all care that he is vulgar and crude when he talks, but he is a prick in how he conducts himself and his out of the way disrespect for other people in the industry.
User avatar #18 to #1 - sgtmajjohnson ONLINE (12/18/2015) [-]
Remember how he thought he was tough **** because of the movies he makes so he attacked some guy who was filming him? Granted, filming celebrities is obnoxious and all around ****** , but I wouldn't try to fight anyone if I were Tarantino. He's quite possibly the least physically threatening biological entity in existence.
User avatar #5 to #1 - tenaciouslee ONLINE (12/18/2015) [-]
As a person, he seems like an arrogant, loud-mouthed prick.

But I'll be damned if he doesn't make some fun movies.
User avatar #6 to #5 - failtolawl (12/18/2015) [-]
that's because you really don't listen to what he says, just the manner how he says it.

i really was looking forward to the hateful 8, but i heard it has a lot of propaganda for black lives matter movement, i am pretty sure it is not too bad as to ruin the move for me but it did kill a lot of my buzz for the movie.
#16 to #12 - anon (12/18/2015) [-]
Really... you have worse opinions about a movie because it contains messages that black people dying matters. I though FJ just hated the radicals who did ****** things, I didn't think people literally hated the concept of trying to reduce the death of black people.
User avatar #17 to #16 - sanitarysan (12/18/2015) [-]

Where did you hear that? If it was online, you gotta remember that people still say that TFA is SJW propaganda because the dual-protagonists are a black dude and a girl.
User avatar #30 to #28 - sanitarysan (12/18/2015) [-]
the most credible thing i saw was a bunch of cops were boycotting the movie as it depicted cops in a very negative way. there were other things involved but that is something that happened. again i am a fan of both him and his movies but if it breaks the immersion of the movie i will be disappointed.
User avatar #31 to #30 - datassman (12/18/2015) [-]
But, it's set in the 1800's..

And there's always been **** cops in films..

Do these policemen have as thin skin as "safe spaces" advocates?
User avatar #35 to #31 - sanitarysan (12/18/2015) [-]
Tarantino does have a very provocative method of telling a story, i am going in hoping to see a good movie but i am reserving my right to be disappointed if the rumors are true. i think that is fair enough.
User avatar #36 to #35 - datassman (12/18/2015) [-]

User avatar #55 to #52 - tenaciouslee ONLINE (12/19/2015) [-]
With the amount of times I've heard " ****** " in a Tarantino film, Quentin Tarantino is the opposite of politically correct, he'll do **** because it's fun, not because it's politically correct.

The bad situation with Disney and Tarantino aside, I really like the way Howard carried himself in this situation. He used to be a repulsive shock monger I grew out of not long after hitting the age of fourteen, but nowadays he sounds like a real radio host sometimes.
User avatar #38 to #37 - riddari (12/18/2015) [-]
Yeah, pretty much this. I played the video in the background and only discovered it was Stern halfway through. Surprisingly calm and not edgy. Good for him.
#43 to #38 - anon (12/18/2015) [-]
because anything different is edgy and if you want to be a none dgy cool guy you have to be like every other boring fake radio interviewer.
#42 to #37 - anon (12/18/2015) [-]
its hilarious to me to see regular morons liking this new "family friendly" run of the mill stern whose now no different than anybody else, just like you said, another boring radio host.

he made himself famous by being different, now hes old and like everybody else, but as long as mongoloids like you like him and he gets paid its all worth it, lol
User avatar #54 to #42 - schneidend (12/18/2015) [-]
Having pornstars wrestle in jello while Stern or his interns throw hot dogs at them can only hold my attention for so long.

Tarantino makes good movies but he's a cringly little ******* as a person. He has a pathological need to make every single black man in a bit role in his movies into a badass, because his mother was a total whore who frequently had groups of black men run trains on her while he was in the house with her. It's how he justifies his mother not being a slut in his memory: just make every black actor a complete over-the-top badass, so it seems like it was more deserved.

That's not even hyperbole or guesstimation. He's admitted as much in an interview, and he's in total denial about it being a bad thing.

Tarantino is what happens when a person in real life lives the backstory of Rorschach, but instead of snapping and fighting crime, they just sort of shrivel away and deal with their own problems by pretending the bad people could have only been awesome. Which is honestly a much more realistic depiction of Rorschach, I think.

If anyone needs professional help, it's him.

not that that's a bad thing, he makes great movies, he just acts seriously weird, body language and everything
