Not all police officers and corrupt racists, but some are...

Michael T. Slager dropping his taser on the corpse of Walter Scott after shooting his twice in the back. Scott ran away from him because he had an outstanding warrant for not paying child support. Slager, not knowing a man recorded the entire incident, claimed that the unarmed Scott attacked him and grabber his taser forcing him to use lethal force.

This cop, which is in m home state was immediately charged and convicted so nothing can be said about it. However sad and wrong this was justice was served.

That's not true at all. He has been indicted but the trial isn't scheduled until October 31st of this year, I'm certain he'll be convicted but it hasn't happened yet. He is currently out on a $500,000 bond as of the 4th of this month.

Even if when he is convicted, it's still apparent that he and his partner were willing to engage in a conspiracy to cover up what actually happened. Whether racism is part of it or not, there's still clearly a systemic problem in the police force that needs to be addressed. Police officers have a responsibility to uphold the law, not subvert it. We're lucky we got footage of this one but frankly we don't know how many other incidents like this have occurred.

Charleston is my hometown, there is still plenty left to be said.

He never said that some aren't. However, he also stated that if everybody does what they're supposed to, a lot of this could be avoided. While it was unnecessary to shoot him, why would you run? It's poor judgment on both parties. They both did exactly what he said you shouldn't do.

Don't chalk MURDER up to 'poor judgement'. It was straight up racist, hateful murder. And the cops protect each other from the blowback of actions like this. You can't even defend your own life from a cop without being in even more **** . Life > law. Survival is everything.

I agree with you for the most part but
>racist
Unless you've referencing outside information, I don't see why you'd call this racist.

In my home town of Cottondale, lil podunk of a town that's a grand total of 1 mile across, we have some of the most corrupt cops I've ever met. They handle and sell the drugs, which if they don't like the person, they will then bust them for a few hours later. They will literally pull over anyone with a out-of-tri state area tag(Georgia, Alabama, Florida) just to harass them. Planting evidence, fraud, blackmail, etc.

I'm not saying every cop is bad, but I've not had good experience with small town cops. That being said, they were cleaned up and there was a mass arrest last I heard and the entire staff's been replaced. I heard they tried to setup a judge or some **** (lol). But yeah, Crooked cops are the worst due to the fact that there's no one to hold them responsible except themselves.

And then there are obtrusive police officers as well.

Thank god someone understands that there is also corrupt racists too. Its just as the same way, just like not every cop is bad that doesn't mean every cop is also good.
