This is completely true, but people should also not take this scenario as evidence that racism does not exist in the police force, it does, but it doesn't help to be prejudiced. A black person shouldn't automatically look at a cop as a racist who's out to get them, and a cop shouldn't automatically look at a black person as suspicious and a criminal.
If we left behind stereotypes and prejudices and simply judged everyone based on their actions and purely the information in front of them most of these problems would be solved.

'White pride' folk and 'police aggression' deniers will use this as evidence against any claim, no matter how much evidence exists. Because it sounds like it can be used to suit their needs.
Meanwhile we've got a lot of bodies piling up more and more over the years for people who didn't deserve to die, and the cops are being protected by other cops and their precincts. A lot of it completely unnecessary and the only way the situation makes sense is if it was hatefully motivated. Since in most cases they won't know the victim, that can only leave something that can be quickly identified by the murderous cop - skin color thus usually being the chief reason.
