I think you had a 4 every three 2's so if the game starts always with the same pattern your max score is the shown above, if the game starts with a random 4 or two 2's 4 (for exemple) you could get what you said

unless you've been playing a version of 2048 that functions totally differently from the browser/iphone version, then you're definitely wrong. In this screen recording i just made

twos:fours = 3:1

Pick a side, never swipe the opposite direction of that side unless you absolutely have to. Pick a corner of that side, swipe your biggest numbers to that corner to set up chains. For example, if you pick the bottom side and left corner your frequency of swipes should be left = down > right >>>>>>>> up.

There's a bit more to it but this well enough to win the game.

I kinda wish it felt like a more distinct experience from Isaac (different floors than just the same progression of basement/caves/depths/womb/cathedral or hell/chest, more distinct graphics, because as is it just looks like they zoomed out Isaac and as a result it's at a lower resolution, more new bosses/a lower encounter rate of older bosses/a different twist on the old bosses that made them seem fresh, like, say, having Monstro have an eye pop out or the Widow be able to extend her legs) but all in all I'm really enjoying it. It seems easier, too.

have you tried the hard setting? Also, there are a ton of new items, and most work in ways that arent possible in the old isaac. Lots of bugfixes and stuff. I dont see it as a new game, but instead a much better version, like the artist wanted it to be

Not extensively yet, I'm still unlocking more things. The bugfixes are great, I love that a lot of old items are now actually useful due to bugfixes or changes, like the Notched Axe (even though it's still pretty weak, and stuff like Lemon Mishap has objectively better counterparts, like the Lemon Party pill). I certainly see it to be a much, much stronger version of Isaac though. I think Ed McMillen really made something he's proud of.

can't read the instructions?

When you swipe one way (eg to the right) all the tiles moves as far that way as they can, either merging with adjacent tiles of the same number (and thus adding together) or stopping at a different number. A new tile then takes its place on the left (if you swiped to the right), and you try to merge the tiles as many times as you can to get a high score. the number of the tiles that merge is added to your score each time you combine tiles. This screenshot is of somebody who has mastered the game (you win the game by getting the 2048 tile, which is ~23,000 points into the game)

You do have a point. Once I'm finished this game I really wished I could disable the undo button. Once you add undo it takes away the luck and skill needed to play the game.

**anonymous rolls 4,488** I've managed to get a 4096 before and a lot of that was lucky swiping after 2048. This was done by either a bot or a pre-calculated method. Of course I also attained the first score too.

for any struggling with this, always try to keep your highest tile in a corner and it makes it a hell of a lot easier, i get at least 2048 around 70-80% of the time i play it
