Hello everyone, Cactuar here. I just finished up my christmas shopping and I have enough cash leftover to do some stuff. So Instead of hiring artists to make lewd imagery for me, I'm going to give away 2 copies + plus expansions of Diablo 3.

I've only gotten REALLY into this game last year. Ever since the expansion came out I have found myself coming back to this game more often and staying around longer. This game truly is a joy to play and I wanna share that joy with you guys this Christmas.

So what is Diablo 3? This is basically a hack'n'slash with VERY light rpg elements. And I emphasised the VERY for a reason. If you've ever played Gauntlet: Dark Legacy then you have an idea of what you are in for. It's all about killing monsters so you can acquire better gear which will help you to kill stronger monsters that will drop even better gear. It's all about the grind for that sweet item with the perfect stats.

Now, if you are interested then I have to warn you about something. There is one major requirement that can be a dealbreaker. You MUST be online at all times to play. If you're alright with that then let's get going to the final bit.

(I would open this up for the consoles but their prices for digital copies are a little much for me. Physical copies, though, are pretty cheap in comparison. )

Plus, by the end of this year there will be a Major patch put into the game. One that I think will shake up the core gameplay and I'm really excited about.

Another small update. If you own the base game and win the raffle. I will give you the expansion plus a gift card of equivalent price to the base game but you have to prove you own the base game first just to be fair.

Small update: Due to I'll be working this Sunday from 10:30-2:30. I probably won't be able to pick the winners and give the games out the second the 24 hour mark passes. Considering I work at a restaurant that has been notorious for getting busy at the most inconvenient times,** I'll probably be able to draw the winning names around 4 or 5 in the afternoon.**

Well just make sure to visit vault 81 for curie. She'll be able to keep you on track to diamond city so you can save nick and kill kellog, then you can give her a nice synth body and then you can play the rest of the game with best companion.

Vault 81 is northeast of diamond city, by this pond with a house by it. The pond with a house also has decent stuff, just watch out for the bloodbugs / bloatfly outside and the radroach. The vault itself has a few mini-quests, first you need to visit one of the main doctors (the black guy) he'll take a blood sample of you, he himself doesn't do curing but his assistant does, which is retarded but anyway once you do that go find arin and get the quest to get her cat who ran outside the vault as you entered. Go find the cat by the pond, get back inside, and you'll hear about some little **** getting sick. Go to the doctor who took your blood sample and there you'll get the quest to find the cure, which is at the end of a dungeon with curie who will follow you out the door and once you complete the quest will be your companion. After that you can loot most of the place, make sure to grab the copy of tattoos from the barber shop, and get the quest from katie the teacher to come teach at her class, she'll give you grognak the barbarian when you do. Lastly if you have 3k caps you can buy overseers guardian which is a sniper that fires 2 bullets at once and has decent mods already done to it.

Santacactaur, ever heard of Torchlight 2? I suggest you give it a shot if not. IMO, Torchlight 2 > Diablo 3, as it allows for builds and doesn't force you to play a set way.

Nah, the amount of replay value in Torchlight 2 is very minimal compared to Diablo 3. The amount of players and available games, too... As well as communities in the game. Torhclight 2 is great, sure. Just not the same.

fair warning.

Diablo 3 is nothing like its predecessors. The game has a lot more emphasis on picking your gear rather than your skill to build your character. Plus, it's a lot more fast paced and brightly colored (aka blizzard-esque) as compared to it's slower pacing and gritty stylized ancestor.

Not trying to deter you from enjoying the game just setting your expectations.

I would really love that but no. There are legendary gear and weapons that have affix that change how your skills work. Right now, I have a flail that allows me to cast shield throw at no cost of resources. I also have this shield that affects my shield throw which lets it bounce between enemies 5 more times on top of the original 3.

It's also been revolving around Set builds. You know the sets in D2? Well, they've taken center stage for the most part. Radically changing how certain skills work but they have been pretty stifling to build diversity and forced players to go with the sets if they want to stand a chance on the leaderboards.

This patch and the upcoming patch is aiming to fix all of that. They are introducing a new set I know, it's ironic to make it so you don't need a set to compete. So long as this ring set is the only set in your gear, your damage is increased by 100% and your damage resistance is increased by 4% for each legendary weapon that is also an ancient. This is something I have been waiting for and think will finally open up build diversity.

I would still suggest it. Especially if you love crashing against hordes of monsters and seeing them get blown up in a spectacular fashion. But, like I said, don't expect it to be like a Diablo game.

It's set in the Diablo universe? Diablo 3 is practically a completely different beast from the other Diablo games. You could switch out the name with something else and you probalby wouldn't know that it was part of the franchise if it wasn't for the case of the story.

I guess there is still this fashion of once you get to peak performance you just crash yourself against the monsters and watch them blow up in a visceral bloody mess. Although the art design is very Blizzard-esque, it's really top notch.

Trust me, Witch Doctor pet builds are hell. The AI can be so extremely infuriating man. The only "pet build" I've been able to enjoy was the dagger of darts build.

Yes, there is a set that plays off the ninja fantasy where you throw daggers all over the place. You can also equip melee weapons. Not sure but I think it's only daggers that are equipable at the moment.
