I used to think flossing was bullshit. I actually did start flossing after I was told to.

Even after you brush, holy blueberry fuck muffins, there is sometimes some fucked up shit in your teeth. I can't sleep without flossing now.

When you floss your gums get less fragile and won't bleed as much.

The last time I went to my dentist, who by the way is shivering as fuck do to him having diabeetus, asked me in a quick way if I brushed and flossed. I said yes, sure thing. (I don't floss.. i mean come on...) When I got home I looked at my bill, and he had charged me for like $10 extra. The reason? It said: Encouragement to make patient brush and floss. Thieves! Thieves I say!

The only reason you bleed when flossing is because you don't do it regularly enough. Inflamed/bleeding gums is a sign of plaque-induced gingivitis. You just have to floss through the pain. After about 2 weeks of regular flossing, you won't be bleeding nearly as much, and your breath smell will also improve a lot.
If you floss regularly, you basically will never need to see a dentist except for your checkup - source : me - a dentistry student
