honestly if he made it all the way to be giving a thesis defense he can be as eccentric as he likes, it's a lot of work just to get into a position where you can present a thesis with the possibility of earning them a PHD.

I defended mine like a month ago, and the best thing is to be relaxed, so... after all, you are, for a while, the biggest expert on the world on wtf your thesis is about...
