Regardless of what news station you go to for information, the media will outright lie or at the very least, tell half truths . The content is an example of this.

Well, I know that...I'm just not seeing anything that shows it in the content. I see a guy standing in front of a crowd of people and the same from a more distant view. I'm seeing nothing different or out of place here, and I'm not familiar with who this is or what he's doing.

The reporter is supposedly at a rally. Most likely a political one. However, he obviously isn't. That's what's being shown. Nothing more to it other than the supposedly rally isn't taking place, and if it is, he's obviously not there to report on it. Basically, it's saying, don't believe what you see on TV.

It's not a rally, those people are extras of the set.
Thirty people standing in the middle of no-where is not a rally. Filming the 30 people packed in like sardines in attempt to create the illusion of hundreds, if not thousands of people gathered is an example of how the media manipulates the truth.

No, a rally is WAY bigger than that. Those are actors behind the camera man to give the illusion of a rally. He is not at the actual rally.

They did not claim to be in the middle of a Scud attack, they simply said they were warned there might be incoming missiles, so they were rather nervous. They were filming from a hotel that was right next to an airport being used by the military, and hence was a likely target. Remember that at the time Iraq had invaded Kuwait (about 100 miles to the north), and it was thought quite likely they would continue to Saudi Arabi.

Most conspiracy theorists claim the entire thing is fake, and it was actually filmed in some US studio. But really it was exactly where they said it was, and the danger was thought to be quite real.

Using your power over people as a transmitter of information to make them believe that things are the way you or your bosses need them to be. E.G. getting a crowd of 80 paid people to "protest" against gay rights and film it in a way that looks like a national riot.

Obviously if you didn't like them being biased you wouldn't watch it.

The thing is, CNN caters to liberals. News is all about profit now. If a story won't get high ratings it won't get aired. Few news channels are truly neutral now, they try to appeal to a specific group.
