I would say that you mean progressives and not liberals, but it is true that some liberals are susceptable to that kind of thinking. It's mainly the progressives you're referring to, but sometimes liberals just jump on the bandwagon too, to be fair.

A liberal is a person who follows the idea of liberalism, which is based in individualism. On the left, its counterpart is progressivism, which is based in collectivism, the opposite of individualism. Liberalism has ideas such as free expression, free market, equality of oppurtunity, total democracy, representative democracy (republics) etc. Progressives do not believe in those values. They seek to please the collective, and they typically agree with Marxism and Communism, the ultimate form of pleasing the collective rather than individuals. If the Communists really cared about the individuals, very few would have died.

Basically. The progressives don't care about injustices or crimes against one person, they care if it's against an entire demographic, regardless of whether or not a crime has happened, regardless of if that demographic is actually mad or hurt, and regardless of if the way they fix it is an injustice.
