Honestly, any "significant other" who would treat their spouse like that isn't someone worth keeping around. And with the kid gone, I don't see why there would be any sort of formal obligation to stick around either. Seriously, the husband's a coward for not ending the relationship when clearing he wants to be done with it, and an ass for cheating. The wife is a fool for not having left sooner.
