In what way are the attacks "rightly so"? Personally, I'm more of a pacifist kind of guy and think neither should be fighting like that's ever going to happen , so I'm just curious as to why you think that Gaza is in the right?

I don't really think they SHOULD be fighting, it's just they actually have a legitimate reason.
The nation used to be called Palestine and was primarily filled with Arabs until recently (aftermath of WW II). However, Jews began looking for a place to call home and got permission from the UN to move in mass to Israel, their historical homeland. This has backfired though because people were already living their. Many of the Israeli people have taken advantage of their world support, following their genocide in WW II, in order to slowly push the Palestinians into ever smaller encampments such as Gaza Strip and West Bank. Thus, many of the Palestinians feel that they are fighting for their homeland against tyranny.

Actually, there are loads of Palestinians living in Israel as Israeli citizens. I don't think they're treated any differently than Jewish citizens, so it's not exactly tyranny. I could be wrong of course.

Honestly, the entire topic seems to be "pick your side, both tell a different story, only one is true".
I've had the discussion with people who are pro-Palestinian and they believe that Israel is a vile place of evil people invading the Palestinian's homes.
I've had the discussion with people who are pro-Israel and they believe that Israel is just fighting in self-defense against a racist people led by tyrannical people who use religion to persuade the masses to fight for their cause.

Both definitely have elements of truth, but considering all the terrorist actions taken in the name of religion eg. 9/11 , I'm leaning more on the pro-Israel side.

Israel is in no way innocent in this. Israeli citizens constantly establish settlements outside their established borders, invading Palestine lands.

Have you heard about the wall on the West Bank? Stretching 420 miles, this is **** that parallels the Cold War.

Yes, there are suicide bombings. Yes there are innocents being killed. Terrorism is the work of few, but the **** Israel is doing is done by an organized state.

Also, i most cases: seperates a terrorist from a just rebel? What if someone had blew themselves up in Berlin during WW2? We would have seen that person as a hero with a just cause. The civilians getting killed? A necessary sacrifice for the greater good.
Conclusion: Terrorism is fine so long it suits us. Right?
No, it isnt. But what if terrorism is done by the state? Is that any better? No.
Does the actions of one side (in this case a few individuals) make the other side right? Hell no.

While you're definitely right about the terrorist/freedom fighter argument, please do remember that the terrorist/freedom fighter attack are rarely targeted at the military.
You can excuse a suicide bombing as a freedom statement if it was at a military base which have their eyes set on conquering Palestine. But most of the bombings are done against civilians who have no say in who the government decides to attack. At that point it's you can't say that it's for the greater good. It's just murder.

As comment #82 pointed out, "Missiles from Gaza, sent at a civilian area". That's just not right. I don't care what the reasons are, the civilians did nothing wrong. They simply live there.

And yeah, I completely agree that the actions of one side don't make the other side right. As I said before, I would really prefer if they wouldn't fight at all and discuss this like civilized people.

Sorry im late but just as i just meant that its a matter of perspective. What about the massive bombings on civilians by the Allies? None complains about that, but the Blitz was seen as a horrible war crime. Same thing in different lights.

Whenever someone speaks of World War 2, nobody refers to to Allies as saints. They speak of them as those who stopped a greater evil. They still know that many people died, both soldier and civilian, and regardless of which it is, it's considered a horrific thing. Whenever teens (who are old enough to understand the brutality of war) in school are taught about it, it's never a one-sided "Allies were the best". They always have the Germans portrayed as both villains (Hitler and such), and victims, as they suffered as much as everyone else.

Yet here, we have people cheering for this war, going "**** Israel/ **** Palestine", not cheering for the success of someone, but for the death of someone.

At least in WW2 it was a scare tactic. Surrender or more die. Like with the nukes in Japan. Here it's "don't bother surrendering, the civilians were our targets all along."
Israel may be an ass of a country, but at least it's not filled with violent religious extremists who believe that any non-Muslims must be purged. However, it has it's own brand of extremists that would be better associated with the Amish. People who shuns all that they don't believe in. I met a few. Not pleasant. Sometimes, I feel religion is what it's really about in the Middle East. Not some stupid "we want our homes back". They still have their homes. What they also have are Non-Muslim heretics pic related .

This is true. Terrorists hide in heavily populated civilian areas to make it so that if Israel attacks, civilians will die. It's a neat trick, sacrifice your own people to give your enemies bad international publicity.

My mother was on holidays in Israel recently. She was telling me about the missiles being fired at civilian areas. Fired at her location. Thankfully for my mother, they were shot down. She saw the explosions in the sky. Missiles from Gaza, sent at a civilian area with no military. In this case it wasn't even just a civilian area. It was a tourism area. They fired missiles at non-Israelis.

I feel no sympathy for Gaza. The only reason they are at war is because they want people to despise Israel. And it's definitely working.

Israel killed 2 Palestinian teens, then Hamas killed 3 Israeli teens (unproven though). Israelis killed more Palestinians, and committed all sorts of human rights violations against the Palestinians because Israel is one of the most oppressive regimes in modern times.

Hamas attacked Israel and Israel moped the floor with them, Hamas puts women and children in front of their weapons as human shield and when Israel kills them the cry foul... then a cease fire is established and Hamas instantly breaks it, so yeah typical stuff.

It's all a little bit more complex than you or anyone else is making it...that goes for both sides.

You want my opinion? Where Israel is right they are right. Where the Palestinians are right they are right. Where Hamas is right they are right. When they're wrong...well they're wrong. None of the belligerents are innocent of mistakes or mishaps, in everyone that is involved there are strings weaved tightly through them that wish to do nothing but cause harm to their enemies and to their own people for personal gain - for some it may be power, wealth, religion - which none of the sides are free of.

Where do I stand on the issue? I believe the Palestinians have every equal right to autonomy from a foreign cultural government (Israeli), I believe Israel should also have a right to exist. However, the UN shows weakness as it always has, and there's no one to enforce the current Israeli government from doing as they wish; same with how the UN has shown an inaction to _ really_ listen to Hamas' or the Palestinians demands. I believe Benjamin is naive if he thinks war will solve the issue - ultimately it will result in more civilian death - most of which is collateral, causing more militancy in the region, furthering strengthening the cause of Hamas and other terror/freedom fighter organizations (whatever you wish to call it, in the end history will have it written in stone.)

Originally owned by the Celts, then conquered bye the romans then various Danish tribes then to the Celtic Picts who slowly where merged into the Scottish people. The last person to own the land was the Celts but they don't exist any more.
So you can keep the land. Just thank your lucky stars you don't live in Asia or south Europe.

The Israelites taking the land is probably the most debatable part of the issue and not one that's easy to reach a conclusion on.

I loved that show, i need to watch it again. It made me think: what would actually happen, if another World war would begin. Who would start it and who would end it and what ending would there be? Neutral countries would probably stay untouched, but it would probably make the world go upside down. Maybe not destroy it, but we'd need to build everything all over. Somehow if that would happen, i would like to stay and watch what would happen until the very end. Would the world change at all or will it all repeat itself?

From what I've seen of War Thunder gameplay, the ground assaults just devolve into camp offs. Now to be fair World of Tanks becomes a campfest/gridlock at certain tiers, but most of the time WoT diverges from the reality that every shot will insta-kill you which encourages people to scout and engage in tactical maneuvers. In my opinion WoT provides a better, fast-paced brawl.

Depending on the gamemode, you'll need different tactics in War Thunder.
If you are worth your salt, you'll be able to take out tanks far away by aiming at critical spots with 1-2-3 good shots. In higher tiers is where you have to watch out since tanks can really pack a punch there and that's expected, naturally.
All this is a good thing since there's no more "scout rush" or tank health bars (which is an idiotic concept to me) or wasted player slots on useless SPGs (many tanks have the 'artillery barrage' ability).

Besides novelty tanks, everything that can be obtained through micro transactions can be obtained with regular in game credits obtained after battles and by completing missions.

Premium accounts provide credit and experience boosts, but will not affect gameplay.

The premium tanks usually have some kind of advantage (stronger armor, big gun, speed), but often have some kind of offsetting factor, and can be effectively engaged and defeated by standard tanks. There are a few exceptions which are either stronger or weaker than the average standard tank.

Overall I think the primary factor in how well someone plays is skill. My in game performance rating is above average and I only use standard tanks and ammo. Likewise I have seen wallet warriors with premium everything barely breaking even. Learning the tricks of what and where to fight, how to use armor and terrain effectively, and generally being a good shot are all you need to succeed on your own.

(I don't know if that was for me or not, but) I haven't the slightest. (Hopefully someone else knows.)

you can play the entire game without spending any money at all. they emphasize a non free-to-win style of game. the only thing that gold can provide, that credits cannot, is a boost to speed of grinding and premium tanks, which are designed to be overall worse than tanks of comparable tier and type. try it out but beware it has a steeeeeeeeeeeep learning curve.

tThe grind gets really brutal from tier 4 and on (regardless of money spent). It has a steep learning curve as well but I feel it is an overall enjoyable time sink.

first of all world of tanks is arcade tank game not a simulator (the tanks are not performing 100% historically accurate.) the game gives you the option of spending real money on things such has premium tanks(not the best in the game) skins for the tanks and to boost your research speed. if you decide to play it on the EU server contact me (princeomellon) and i can help you get started.

World of tanks is one of those "Free to Play, Pay to make life five time easier" games...

Premium vehicles get more experience and credits per game over same tier regular tanks.
Have a Premium Account increases your experience and credit income by 50% more per game, regardless of if you win or lose.
And, above tier 7 (there's ten tiers of tanks), it can be pretty hard to come out of a game with any profit, without a premium account.

Example from yesterday, in my KV-4. I got ~22k credits for winning...
Admittedly it was a **** game from the get-go, lost 90% of my health in the first two minutes.
Cost me 13,984 to repair, 7,070 to restock my ammo, and 3,000 for the first aid kid I used.
So, even on a win, I lost 2k, because I don't have prem time. Only got 22k, instead of 33k.

Premium tanks do not get an experience increase over regular tanks only credits. Even if they did what would you do with it? Convert?

i have a few friends who play tier 10 (highest level) and sometimes even Esl without spending money, but as the others said it makes the game easier. not the battle itself, only how much time you spend on gaining credits.
if you want to start i could try to find an invite code for you if you want cant promise anything though

its so against pay to win to the point where the paid tanks are crap, but they get a butt tonne of money so thats the only reason to buy them really. I got one to support the game, absolutely love it

I enjoy World of Tanks a lot, i got a tier 10, which is highest tier. And i only ever spent 7 USD on it. Getting to tier 10 without premium is tough, but not impossible if your pretty decent. Premium speeds things up though. If you just wanna play for fun and dont care about higher tiers I would recommend the Panzer I C, tier 3 light German tank. Fun as hell and a good money maker

It's a good game if you dont want to spend any money. I have been playing for three years now and had not spent anything on it. Also clans are a great way to get gold.

The game's not a money hog and it's not pay to win. You can buy premium tanks but most of them are slightly inferior to equivalent type tanks of the same tier. Up to tier 5 you're practically guaranteed to make money each round and tier 6 and 7 are manageable without a premium account (which just boosts experience and credit income by 50%). Beyond that you have to have fairly good games or grind the credits to run your high tier tanks on lower tier tanks. And lower tier games are very fun to play because they're not so competitive and usually are quite a bit faster pace than the high tier camp-fests.

It's a fun game. Just download it and give it a try and if you find yourself needing to spend money to play it, quit.

it's definitely not pay-to-win for the most part, but putting in a little cash now and then really makes life easier.

There's random battles and then there's tank companies - most tc's are tier 6, which you can absolutely get to without putting in a single dime, and most of the top players I know keep a couple lower tanks just because they're fun.

So while money makes it easier, you can absolutely have a great time if you're just looking for a free game to play in your spare time
