The whole only Jedi to fall to the light and return to the light is crap. Both skywalkers did it. and lore implies that many have and returned Mara Jade to recall another.

There was an arc in the Expanded Universe in which Luke ended up falling to the dark side temporarily (it started out as an act, but became reality for a brief period) after coming into contact with some weird Palpatine clone that Palpatine's spirit could control, and was actively cloning himself to try to make him immortal.

This is why Expanded Universe can't be taken seriously. I hope Disney retcons it.

There's plenty of good arcs within the Expanded Universe - mostly the novel perspectives. It's just the comics really have a tendency to go out of hand. It's why George Lucas created the idea of a "holocron network" that would establish a general standard of what forms of medium would fit a degree of canon. His movies being the gold standard, novels being a silver standard (some details may be canon; most are due to their long process of review), comics having the lowest, due to them having to be released on a monthly basis and therefore having little time to review for any scrutiny.

I'm pretty sure that comic wasn't even canon either, it's been hated by a lot of fans and I think George Lucas even shook his head at it publicly.

It was in a Graphic novel by Dark horse that was actually very good. And Luke alludes to it alot in the Jedi academy novels.

Hmm OP probably meant he was the first since his time took place a couple thousand years before the time of the Skywalkers

Mara started out on the darkside though, so technically she fell to the light side.
