I'm rather average at it, I'll lose easily against pros but I put up a decent enough fight and usually win against your average invader

I recently got into dark souls 2 again, but don't have live and was too stupid to get it for pc. I'm pretty happy with how far ive gotten in just a few hours but i dont know where to go after killing the last giant, the old dragonslayer and the other boss near the old dragonslayer (forgot what hes called). I beat all three on my first try, but i died to the pursuer. Im not gonna look up where to go next, but i honestly have no idea after looking around so much.

But... the pursuer isn't appearing after i died to him on that platform... Do I have to beat him first try to progress?

nah buddy the pursuer fight is in a different part of the area, the fight on the platform is optional.

first three times got him below half health but always died at a certain part tried parrying him then used the crossbow things
