stress is another matter. but unless you charge in like an idiot and refuse to give up when the stress levels start to build up then ofcourse people will start to drop, not because the game is ******** , but because the player is an idiot. mostly you will end up just firing people who get bad traits and have too high stress level for it to be worth keeping them anymore.

angelious (01/10/2016) [-] most of the negative reviews are outdated or just useless whining..
there used to be a case of bad rng, but it is mostly fixed now, the only actual bad thing in the game right now is the corpse method, which can be removed from the menu(i highly recommend that)
outside of that, it does have a frustration value, but its not huge. the basic plan of the game afterall, is to throw people in a meatgrinder and see who survives and if they could bring you back money to upradge the town and **** . but again, unless you are a bullheaded idiot,party wipes arent going to be an issue for you.

angelious (01/10/2016) [-] darkest dungeon isnt good or bad. its excellent. quite honestly, there is a depth into the strategy of the game and a novelty to how it is built. not only that but the art and voice acting is excellent and it actually is built so that new players can easily integrate themselves into the game ( **** wont pick up until you reach veteran dungeons...then it starts getting smarmy)
and the basic management of your troupe and the city you are in charge off is surprisingly indepth for the simplistic design of it.

outside of that, he also seems to have had the paranoid trait (which basically makes him not trust anybody) so when the player tried to make him eat, the bounty hunters paranoid trait made him gain more stress, which went over the handle bar, which caused him to die, which caused rest of them to get more stress, which lead to another character getting a resolve test.

Bought it for half off recently. One of the best purchases I've made. The only complaint I have with it is that once a character is a certain Resolve level, they refuse to take on low level missions. The Occultist and Houndmaster are two of my favorite classes, simply for their ability to **** **** up.
