The other guy is Arin Hanson, AKA Egoraptor. Jon and he were co-stars of the popular gaming channel "Game Grumps". At a certain point Jon had to leave, and some speculated he and Arin had a falling out. This went on for a couple years, but this video that came out yesterday dispelled all the rumors for most people
Windows 8.
I haven't had a forced update since I upgraded.
To be fair, his problem could have been avoided. If one night before bed he went and did the update. But after like, 10 refusals, they force it on you. In sorts, that's like refusing to clean your room and now it's starting to attract many many cockroaches.
always online, always updating and cant turn that off, cortana is close to useless, datamining like a starving african looking for diamonds, a ton of bloatware.
Always online? In what fashion and how. I lose internet for 6 hours every day and i havent noticed anything different.
Always updating is bad how?
bloatware as in "i dont like this and therefore it sucks for everyone?"
Cortana was meant to be a nice thing anyways, Look at Siri, how many people use Siri more than once in a blue moon to ask how much a dragon dildo costs?.
Seems like you are just stuck too far up the echochamber.
>always online as in as long as you have an internet connection, microsoft is constantly pulling data from your pc no matter how many things you you disable in the settings.
>updating also overwrites your modifications to the system files and settings without notifying you of them
you cant turn both of these off so they use your internet bandwith which sucks if you have slow internet and it also drains your available internet data if you have a mobile internet adapter. also if it really needs updates every week, then its not finished. i can understand an update service pack a few times a year, but this is ******* ridiculous.
>and that bloatware cant be uninstalled. you have to waste time removing the files before it boots up with either third party software of manualy. and even then there are leftover files that you cant remove.
maybe you dont care about these things, but i cant stand my os doing things without my permission and wasting resources.
