boyfriend and said "Buying
books is a waste of money".
She starts complaining and
whiny about how she wants
to leave. He then looks at her
for a long time and says "I
want to break up."
This is beautiful

Oh yes, how could such an inferior and grotesque creature believe that books are a waste of money? In what world would such a disgusting, repulsive maggot of a person state such a thing in PUBLIC no less. Most likely because of how incredibly moronic everyone in the world today is, and how nobody but the few elite intellectuals such as ourselves even read books. Most likely those pathetic oxygen thieves would rather consume McDonalds and listen to Justin Bieber instead of reading a good book or play, while listening to beautiful classical music (like Amadeus Beethoven etc.) like myself. How DARE this waste of previous stardust (we come from stars IDIOT!) even be alive, such monsters deserve to die so they can't spread their horrible filth or bully all the smart geniuses at lunch time because I told them "I love you".

...Buying books IS a waste of money unless you're planning on rereading them. Why waste $30-$40 on like 2 books if you can check them out from the library or even download them to your phone or something?
Come on guys, be real. Buying books is a waste of money unless you're rich or something. I don't even know why you guys thought the girl was an airhead or a dumb blonde, but that guy is an idiot unless she really does hate books.

There's nothing like the feeling of having your own little library, full of your own books that you can read anytime you want, never have to wait to read, and being able to make a book fort with all of them

I am a girl and I did the same thing to a guy. He was great...until he told me he never read a full book. I gave him some classics to read, nope...nothing

and that was the end of that, I tip my hat to this man above.

Well he broke up with her for not shutting up and bitching when he was buying something he is interested in. Just because someone doesn't like to read doesn't make it a valid reason to break up. That's pretty shallow.

She's damn right. Books suck. E-books on the other hand... Why buy a **** load of paper when you could just buy digital information and have like a 1000 books on a really small memory card.

its not about the fact that she didn't find something he liked interesting its about the fact that even though they are together in a supposedly commited relationship instead of trying to understand and be respectable about her boyfriends likes she throws a fits and says rude things about it. would you stay with a woman who didn't at least try to understand what you like? no you wouldn't.

Isn't buying books a waste of money?
Looking through Amazon and local book stores, the books I needed were 70 to 150 dollars. That's enough money to buy a printer and enough ink to print 2-6 books!
