I just created a twitter account for the sole purpose of posting this:

"@MelodyHensley I saw you're PTSD posts on another site. I would call you a cunt, but you have neither the depth nor warmth."

It's possible she has it, which I'm guessing isn't fun, though like with most mental disorders, some people have it a lot worse than others.

There's no way what a war veteran has seen is likely to be much worse.

Been an atheist for a while now.....don't ever remember being targeted or harassed for it.

Like....how do you even harass someone for that? HA HA YOU CANT GET INTO HEAVEN! Um...you can't either since it's not real. GOD DOESNT LOVE YOU! Doesn't love you either. And on and on.

I like how she thinks she's being targeted because she's an aethiest.

Like all 4chan users are God-fearing Christians.

While I'm sure she it an idiot, inserting the part about war veterans is stupid, it's just trying to illegitimize it.

It's fully possible for someone who hasn't fought a war to have a traumatic experience (rape, kidnapping, natural disaster killing family and destroying home), and likewise it's fully possible for a veteran to have never been in a similarly stressful situation (I think it's something like half of US troops never even see combat).

The only real connection with war is that PTSD wasn't diagnosed as a condition until after Vietnam.

It's by far the leading cause for PTSD, though.

This not so good lady is crazy, but as an LLP, I have to say that what is "traumatic" is all subjective, and anyone who has PTSD suffers the same symptoms. Just saying.

Not necisarily only from war, any extreme violence really.

Still though, getting PTSD from OHHH SPOOKY IMAGES FROM THE NETS, what the intense bodylove have we become?

Posttraumatic stress disorder[note 1] (PTSD) may develop after a person is exposed to one or more traumatic events, such as sexual assault, warfare, serious injury, or threats of imminent death that result in feelings of intense fear, horror, and powerlessness.[1] The diagnosis may be given when a group of symptoms, such as disturbing recurring flashbacks, avoidance or numbing of memories of the event, and hyperarousal, continue for more than a month after the occurrence of traumatic event.[1]
Most people having experienced a traumatizing event will not develop PTSD.[2] Women are more likely to experience higher impact events, and are also more likely to develop PTSD than men.[3] Children are less likely to experience PTSD after trauma than adults, especially if they are under ten years of age.[2] War veterans are commonly at risk for PTSD.

Can't we all just sit down and talk like civil human beings without resorting to ones gender/race/sexuality/religion as an omnipotent excuse and then not come up with bulldigestive end product facts or excuses on top of that?
No?
Okay, thanks human race.
