It is very well documented that overall people's happiness increases as their income increase, untill about $75k/yr when it begins to level off

If you live in civilization and have no money or support, you will suffer greatly.
If you live outside of civilization, depending on where and how skilled you are, it could be quite nice, but perhaps not too.
In either case, of course friendship and compassion is the most important thing, and if it's truly appreciated then it will indeed bring you immense happiness, but it does not guarantee a pleasant life.
