Yeah most of the people haven't played the other games. It was a reference to Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, when you rescue Hideo Kojima. If you get a rank below S, Kojima will say "Snake, what took you so long?"

Actually, it's a reference to MGS1. If you take too long to get in the cargo elevator, Campbell will comment that Snake took too long rather than saying age hasn't slowed him down.

Yeah well technically the character you're playing as is Medic, or Venom Snake. Big Boss is currently in the United States leading FOXHOUND. You don't play as Big Boss in MGS5 . And yeah it probably was a reference to that, it's been a few years since I played Snake Eater

Funniest ones are usually the odd games he plays and comments on. That's just my opinion though.
